That's me as well. Think I'll be in at $10. I wasn't super thrilled with PoE's combat, so Tyranny would be more of a story call on my part. See how much fun it is to be bad. But if I were to guess, I'll probably give it 10-15 hours and then drift off to something else.

I loved PoE. Finished it 3 times, which I never do. Kickstarted PoE2 and paid for beta access. So I'm a huge fan.

That said, I hated Tyranny and deleted it after a few days of playing. I really gave it a chance, but the combat really was so awful and I did not get into the story at all. It really became a drag to play.

Thanks, I guess I could have Googled it, but I've spent all day installing printer drivers on a bunch of computers for tax season and I'm just not thinking clearly. And damn, I see that Anno 2070 and Anno 2205 are also on sale. I see a lot of thumbs down on Anno 2070 just because it's on Uplay. I've never had issues with Uplay so I might be tempted.

I considered the newer one as well (I don't own any of the series), but I read where a few people who have put thousands of hours into the series, say that this one (1404) is the best of the series due to the size of the maps among other things. OTOH, if you are interested in multiplayer, the newer ones are better for that. .02

I installed Anno 1404 from GOG and gave it a look to re-familiarize myself with it. Yup, I remember the gameplay from all the way back in 2000 when I picked up 1602 A.D.. I don't know how sold I am on playing that game system again. On the other hand, $3.74 for both games on Steam? Hmm
