I haven't played it (don't own it) but my friend swears by Black Mesa. Said it was really good and he couldn't believe how faithful it was to the original Half Life and yet somehow managed to make it even better.

So I'll likely re-up the Monthly in the next couple of days to grab Stellaris. Should I be using someone's referral? Or does that only work on "new" and not "re-ups"?

Hmmm, well nothing immediate. Thanks for trying. I'll leave that link there until it works for someone and then another person posts a link. If there is any significant activity in this thread using referrals, that would seem like a fair way to rotate it.

I started it a while back, then recently picked it up again and replayed further, but wondering if I should pause until they finish. It's OK so far, but not mind blowing IMO. Stylistically very nice, and quite creative in many parts.

I liken it to Oxenfree. Pretty to very good, not amazing. :D

Gah. You have to actively click on the early game each month to get it as part of the monthly subscription? Why wouldn't they just add it to my account? I'm paying in 3 month increments, so it's not like I can miss the deadline.

Grrr.

This time the full bundle with Stellaris also contains Superhot.

If you join to get the next bundle, you get Dark Souls 2 early. Not bad for $12 considering you'll also get more games later. Please remember to use the referral link above. I haven't successfully gotten referral credit from anyone yet.

Sorry JetFred, when I signed up a few months back, I forgot to use a referral link.

For anyone who cares - these are the monthly games that came with Stellaris:
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation
Brigador: Up-Armored edition
Plague Inc: Evolved
Shoppe Keep
Superhot
Tiny Echo
Maize

Personally, no interest in the last 3, have to see if kid or nephew wants them, or they go up for grabs in the trading forum key give-away thread. But the first 4 looked worth checking out at least. I know kid was excited about Plague.
