Also, I think one of the humble bundles has a 10% off one month of the monthly subscription (which can be had for $1 I think).

I think there was another one of those a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if they stack?

By the way, I picked up the Star Wars humble bundle but already had KOTOR 1 & 2, so I'd be happy to gift it to anyone who wants either or both.

Hobbitses!

Anything gets you The Hobbit audiobook and The Modern Scholar: Tolkien and the West: Recovering the Lost Tradition of Europe by Professor Michael Drout.

Above average (currently $11.12) gets you The Fellowship of the Ring, The Fellowship: The Literary Lives of the Inklings, and The Two Towers.

$15 gets you The Return of the King.

Playable excerpts at the link.

Warning about the current Sega Humble bundle: you will not get separate keys for the games. The $12 tier, for example, gets three keys, one for each tier.

no one's getting my Warhammer key, then. waaaah

i purchased the $1 tier just to get Shining Force I and II for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive emu (Columns is just a bonus). i already had Gain Ground - the arcade version is better, of course, but the Genesis port holds up surprisingly well.

EDIT: i forgot how addictive Columns gets when setting up the big chains. played waaay too much of this back at the neighbor's house in 90/91, even for being the Sega Tetris-wannabe. this is what i've been doing for the past half hour, oh yeah

That's possibly the biggest collection of QUALITY gaming for $1 that I have ever seen. Wowzer. I had most of it, but there were a few highly rated "sub-versions" of titles that were on my wishlist.

Since it's my first monthly bundle, I can get Mad Max for $10.80? I may bite just for that.

Yep (assuming you have one of the coupons from one of the other bundles for 10% off of your first monthly) and you'll get it right away (the others will unlock at the start of next month). If you don't want to keep the subscription, though, make sure to remember to cancel it. Also, if there is anything you want to buy from the humble store, make sure to buy it while you're a member, as you get an extra 10% off.

Speaking of the Humble Store, there is a build your own survival bundle (increased savings if you buy 3-5 of them together)

I think I'll bite on the Humble Staff Picks bundle. Tropico V and Victor Vran were wishlist games and definitely worth the $6.30 asking price.

That said, those were the only two I cared about/didn't own so if anyone wants the following, let me know:

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Ultimate General Gettysburg
GRAV (Early Access)

If anyone gets this bundle and doesn't want Victor Vran (the only game in the bundle I care about), maybe we can work a deal out?

I've found I oddly like ARPG's even though I have no particular skill with them (I never both with hardcore and rarely go terribly far past the story into the replay/extended adventures to get more leveling and gear, but still, I tend to enjoy them.

Yeah. The only thing we know is that Mad Max is in it. The rest won't be revealed until it's too late to subscribe to it, so it's a gamble, but if you were already looking to buy mad max (or are going to spend enough in the humble store that the 10% discount is worth it) it's probably worth it.

Oh, thank god.

I was going back and forth on it this month. I really wanted Mad Max, but just couldn't afford it. I might have been able to had I pulled on some other budget strings, but I just couldn't quite justify it.

Now that I see that there was nothing else in there that really interested me much, I'm a bit relieved.

Actually I think this one may have been the most worth it to me, with the low price on Mad Max, and I actually didn't have any of the other games, two of which were on my wish list.

Just bit on the Humble Narrative Bundle.

Got the following for $4.00:

Her Story
Read Only Memories
Cibele
Broken Age
80 Days
Steve Jackson's Sorcery! Parts 1 & 2

I've been wanting Her Story, Broken Age, and 80 Days, so that was worth the price alone. Sorcery sounded interesting since I like game books. Never heard of Read Only Memories or Cibele, but the former got really good reviews.

The unlock at the $10 level is Shadowrun: Hong Kong, but since I haven't even finished Dragonfall yet I didn't see the need to pick that one up yet.

Caught it at $3.37 or something like that, but if it had been closer to $6, I still would have bought it and gone up to $10 for Hong Kong. My reasoning about bundles is probably broken, though. Still, I finished Her Story and Broken Age before, and they are great (see my reviews, though), so get it especially if you don't have those.

The current Humble 2K "build a bundle" that's happening in the Humble Store is tempting me. I can pick up a Civilization IV DLC (Brave New World) I don't own, Civilization Beyond Earth and the Borderlands Pre-Sequel for $22 with all their sales and discounts. It's my completion brain vs my rational one... /shakes fist at sky

Man, that's tempting. That would be three items off of my wish list, though I'd get the Gods and Kings DLC. You mean Civ V, right?

Yeah, my bad. I also realized I didn't own a copy of BioShock 2, so I added that and now it's all of those games for $22.09 instead of $21.99 for three.

Hot Damn that is a great deal! I just bought NBA2k16 or it would have been even better. I haven't seen Battleborn less than $26 for just the base game. I bought it for that and Borderlands. Mafia 2 and Civ V are a nice bonus!

Battleborn AND borderlands the pre-sequel for 15 bucks? That's nuts.

edit: Boughted. Exploring my humble bundle account, turns out I have a pile of unredeemed stuff. Like Saint's Row IV.

Cool.

I had been "borrowing" borderlands the pre-sequel from my son, who also had the Jack dlc. Now that I've redeemed the base game for myself, I can no longer access my Jack characters. I guess you can't "borrow" dlc for games. Oh well. I'll pick it up when it's not 11 freakin' dollars for a single character class!?
