naaaw, they can get you with all the necessary DLC for Destiny 2. the base game just hit 'loss-leader' point - nearly F2P - i guess.

So, from the last month's Humble Bundle - Moon Hunters -- big thumbs up. Never heard of it before being part of the bundle, but it's (their words) rogue-like RPG-ish (increasing Jet Fred's difficulty in categorizing games). I know with so many keys floating around games tend to get lost in the shuffle, but I really enjoyed the time I spent with it earlier this evening. Definitely worth checking out, IMHO.

This one would be one of those I don't want the higher level stuff. *sigh* I want Panzer Corp and Allied Corp, I already have Mercenary Kings, and no interesting in insurgency. Day of Infamy and Gloria Victis are kinda "meh" for me. 8-bit army is cute, but it's really not that different from, say C&C.

i signed up for the one year Humble Monthly subscription four days before they offered the $25 Humble Store wallet credit for the one year subscription. i wrote to their CS to ask if they could retroactively apply the promotion, but they said they wouldn't.

I don't expect to see this price again for a while ... I was very tempted, but I feel I'm going to pass, ..

The only Review I watched for this game was Totalbiscuit's .. WTF is .. And that grapple-hook is off the chain

but, still ... I could get the game for about $5.99 with humble wallet funds ... and that's, like, half a cinema movie (without popcorn)

I finished the game, I don't remember that sort of thing being an obstacle. I did install a crazy necessary mod, though. Extended length grappler. It's totally cheaty, but it lets you grab stuff from kilometers away instead of up close. It makes the game so much more fun!

There was one airplane-related mission that was driving me crazy until I read that on PC missiles won't lock, you have to use a controller. Which is so bizarre, but I hooked up the controller and sure enough it finally worked.

Yeah, His review was from a pre-launch copy, and 'before' DLC, obviously, .. So it is possible that gameplay/progression was smoothed out

I feel that 'race' activities should be separate and optional and have zero to do with your mission on the island

They are. There may be One mission where you have to use a motorcycle or something, but I don't recall being forced to do any ancillary activities to progress the story line or gain any guns/vehicles/etc. Now, if you're just plain bad at piloting choppers or planes or whatever that's on you.

95% of the game storyline is you running around and grappling people and things and blowing shit up. It's extremely fun. Zip-parachute-shoot sniper-zip-zip-parachute-RPG that building!-zip-commandeer that chopper-Rocket Rocket Rocket Minigun!

Hmm... that's tempting. I disliked Ark and how obtuse it was, but but I really like the idea of exploring this world.

I more or less assumed it was an intentional scheduling based on the annual STEAM sale and not wanting to compete. While not a true "bundle", I was eying up tje TellTale build your own to snatch up a whole bunch of stuff I don't have. Then I realized I had like 18+ games I've accumulated sitting untouched (thanks Conan!) and that's delayed me from committing for at least two days now. I'm guessing when a new official bundle drops tomorrow all will be right again in the universe.

There's a (potentially NSFW) Chuck Tingle book bundle. Ok, now I've seen it all.

EDIT: I suppose I should put a potentially NSFW label on that link. Maybe your employer might not like you looking at books titled, "Pounded In The Butt By My Own Butt " or "Game Of Butts: The Pounds Of Winter".

Game bundles stopped coming on Thursdays a long time ago, didn't they? And I agree about the sale, but they didn't have one the week before or the week after, unless I lost track of what week it was. Quite possible.
