Crimson dragon looks good. They don't want to give any of the games away yet. Good games on the system but all too new to offer too many for free.

The same can be said for the ps4 version. So far I found nothing of interest. I bought the PS4 in June this year, and I purposely waited to see if it was worth signing up for. I just activated my 14 day trial last night not because of what they were offering, but wanted to start my connected franchise in Madden. I've come to expect nothing out of the free games to make the psn worth it for me. If one happens to spark my interest, cool, but until then it's so I can play multi in madden and destiny.

I bought a year of Live when I got my XB1 at launch. It has never been used. I have no idea why I bought it. I need to remember not to do that again.

If you don't game online it isn't worth a penny. If you play games online it is a great deal. Everything else is noting compared to the gaming.

It has been 9 months and I have enjoyed 3 games on it in that time... wait 2 games, can't say Forza was enjoyed all that much, Dead Rising 3 and Assassin's Creed 4 were enjoyed extensively (NFS:Rivals didn't totally suck - and hey the kinect integration was actually useful!). Of course only one of those required the next gen console, but hey Forza Horizon 2 is coming, there's a 3rd game I am highly likely to enjoy (yes I am bored by Forza and love Forza Horizon)!

For Octogre:

XBOne: Chariot
360: 1st - 15th - Battlefield Bad Company 2
360: 16th on - Darksiders 2

Battlefield BC2 was a great multiplayer game in its day. I played it more than any title in the series since 1942, and while the campaign was typical cinematic rail stuff, it was one of the better cinematic rail stuff campaigns.

I'm confused that they announced it so early. Maybe they wanted people to be able to fully come to terms with the fact that they were giving away a 4 year old game AND another that comes bundled with the actual console.

Last call reminder for Darksiders II.

No announcement of November yet. Speculation is running rampant with Borderlands and GTA IV being the frontrunners.

Wish they'd make Red Dead Redemption the Gold game.

My buddy just picked up an Xbox360 for his kids and Borderlands was provided with the bundle, so I could see it going either way. Having GTA IV would be nice but with both games having sold a billion copies I'm not quite sure I follow the strategy in what they provide for free anymore.

PS+ for November:

PS4
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth
SteamWorld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt

PS3
Frozen Synapse Prime
Luftrausers

Vita
The Hungry Horde
Escape Plan

------------------------------
Personally, I'm getting a little tired of artsy 2D games and side-scrollers.

/edit - apparently they set the announcement video to private, as it was getting torn to pieces with negative comments and votes.

In a mark against GTA IV being up for free starting this weekend, it's currently on a 75% discount through Games on Demand until November 3rd. Making it free during that sale would seem ... unwise.

Xbox One gamers get Volgarr the Viking for free. Enjoy a SNES-era throwback game on your fancy-new console box thing.

Xbox360 players get Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise free from 11/1-11/15, then Red Faction Guerrilla from 11/16-11/30.

I like how they just totally plow through expectations. :D

The only reason I keep the 360 around is in the hope that one day I'll get a replacement drive so I can show the kid Viva Pinata.

This is perfect.

...or maybe not. Sony released the list via YouTube, then hid the list after the fit hit the shan. They still haven't released an official statement as to what's coming, and the games are supposed to be available as of tomorrow.

Between poor PS+ games, the Driveclub nonsense, the silence on this, and the major 'Rest Mode' bug on the PS4 after the latest system update, Sony isn't having a good PR month.

Nope, the store has been updated, and the list stands. Why they released the list on time, then retracted it, then released it again a week late is beyond me.

Lately, I've seen some good games come to the 360 from the Games with Gold, while Sony seems intent on releasing nothing but 2d titles (which rarely appeal to me.)

On the bright side, they've officially said that we'll get Injustice: Gods Among Us for December and Infamous: First Light for January on PS4.

You don't have to download them to claim them. Log on to the 360, buy the item, and then immediately cancel the download. You can grab it again any time you feel like playing it.

Duke Nukem 3D on the Vita is so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend. 8-)
