Hmm, that does seem to be all the (currently available) expansions to Talisman, and is a nice

Still, I dunno... I've got Talisman, and played a few games, and while it's got good ratings, I'm not really a fan of the gameplay (which is fairly luck based/dice rolling, and is overshadowed by game mechanics of more modern game). Maybe if some of the expansions improve the gameplay?

Does anybody have a brief opinion on the Batman titles .. I am not a student of comic lore. When I was a kid, (the 60's), readers of comic books were the punchline of jokes (fat, pimple-faced boys) .. then somebody discovered they were worth money, and they seemed to gain respect overnight (the 80's). ... Then every Tom, Dick, and Harry started making movies with names like Superman, Spiderman, and Batman (the 90's) ... I still don't care about the lore, but I have enjoyed Shadow of Mordor, and MadMax, and the word Arkham was tossed around willy-nilly whilst describing combat in them. If somebody that looks like me, but not ME, were to buy one complete title ... which should that be?

Arkham Asylum was the first and the best of the series. Start there. Although this bundle would still be the better deal than any single game by itself.

And yes, the combat in Shadow of Mordor was blatantly 'inspired' by the Arkham series. I'd describe them as a 'smarter' Shadow of Mordor. They're less wild and more thoughtful. You see a group, you pick off a few outliers quietly to even the odds. You choose the most deadly threats, move in on them, take them down, then *poof* vanish before their allies beat you down. You then swoop in, take a couple out, and *poof*, vanish again. Now that the odds are better you move in and take the rest out in a SoM style brawl. The stuff between the brawls is a great combination of movement, puzzles, hidden goodies, problem solving and story.

Crimsonland = topdown bullethell (?) shooter (I played this back in the early 2000's .. but I don't get far in mass-swarm mechanics)

planetary annihilation = total annihilation remake with planetary weapons (launch a moon into your opponents side of the planet) kickstarter-playerbase feels abandoned by devs, who released TITANS

Wings: Remastered .. I played this on Amiga (Orca the killer tomato, as player name, helped considerably with my survival)

i can't recommend Crimsonland enough if you like top-down 'arena' shooters. one of my favorite 'shareware' titles of the past 15 years or so. this is the remake from a couple years ago.

NecrovisioN is from the original developers of Painkiller - it's a paranormal-themed FPS set in WWI.

Zeno Clash is a first-person brawler. good setting, and i really liked it until a certain level...

Super Cyborg is a NES-themed side-scroller run'n'gun. very difficult.

i could go on, but i have no idea which titles you actually are familiar with.

I have a good number of these

Betrayer -- Interesting FPS where you explore a ghost colony with evil "conquistadors" and a parallel dimension where you need to flip between both to solve puzzles and progress. Relies a lot on wind and ambush

Lichdom-- magic FPS where you mix and match spell schools and fight a variety of baddies.

Silent Age -- 2D point-and-click adventure where you try to solve puzzles with a little time travel as you flip between 1972 and 2012 trying to save mankind. Started as a mobile game with multiple episodes, this is a full PC remake.

Crimsonland -- dual-stick shooter, baddies swarm you from all sides, run around and collect random weapons to help you survive.

Hoard -- You're a dragon, and you want to fly around and try to build up your stash of gold... but you don't want the humans to get too uppity. AND there are other dragons too. Fun for a quick fix, but surprising amount of depth for a simple looking game.

Frozen Synapse Prime -- FS with a graphics upgrade, but the gameplay's still the same. Tactical combat, ala XCOM, but planned down to the millisecond, with simultaneous move.

JTF -- modern tanks in an adventure RTS, solving tactical puzzles. Really kinda meh to me.

Puzzle Kingdoms -- puzzle combat as you fight across the land to reclaim your kingdom.

As did I. The level was something about beating two redneck brothers or something. I never could get past it.
