Middle of november and Christmas decorations everywhere. A young (at heart) mans thoughts turn to the wonder of christmas sales. Is steam going to deliver this year or is GoG better for sales now.

Im not looking forward to their sales. I either already own it all in a huge backlog or its all on my wishlist and I cant afford any of it.

Steam sales were largely neutered by the returns policy. There are no more huge discounts and no more pleasant surprises. They do have good prices, but not amazing prices, and you can do everything in the first hour.

Steam Thanksgiving sale starts Wednesday... allegedly.
According to the screenshot, the Steam Autumn Sale will commence on November 23 at 9:50am PT and end on November 29 at 10:10am PT, while the Steam Winter Sale will kick off on December 22 at 9:50am PT and end on January 2, 2017, at 10:10am PT.

I need to get my sale notification list in order. I don't even remember what I want but will never play any more and yet would pay for if it's under $10 buy normally runs $20 or more. It was a fairly extensive list.

Plus, this thread title was bit nebulous
