Hmmm, Carriers at War remake for $20. Loved the original. Can't tell if this version has the ability to select historical or random starting positions for the Carriers. If it is only historical then that limits the replayability.
Some Close Combat remakes at $16. Very tempting.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Command Air/Naval Operations is at a great price. Missed the last sale so I think I'll pull the trigger on getting this. Also Panzer Corps Gold is at a good price too. I have some of the expansions already but the price is attractive enough to me to just complete it all in one fell swoop.

Hmm, I think I might pick up Spartan or Gates of Troy. I remember enjoying the old Legion games, and for $4, I should get my moneys worth.

I've always been intrigued by these types of games, but am not fond of extreme micromanagement.
Does anyone have a recommendation for any of these games that is easily accessible to someone like me, that isn't a fan of the "4X" type of game play?

I'm not a war games expert (I have played a few), but I would think Strategic Command: European Theater would be a good lighter/introductory game to the genre. It's available at GOG.stimpy wrote:I've always been intrigued by these types of games, but am not fond of extreme micromanagement.
