High Treason!: Trial of Louis Riel On sale for $15 on Amazon.

BGG:Link

2 Players, 45min +/-. Recreates the historic Canadian trial, which I previously knew nothing about.
Game is played in 4 main phases starting with Jury Selection, Trial, Summation (closing arguments) and, Jury Deliberations. The object is to identify and sway sympathetic jurors and focus on arguments that appeal to them. It's mechanically similar to Twilight Struggle but has some fresh ideas that really play to it's theme.

The publisher is Victory Point games... so components aren't the most spectacular (folded paper board) and a bit generic, but they do the job and mostly facilitate game play (the juror trait tokens are hard to see).

Great game, fantastic price.

Fascinating subject and game mechanics, simulating a trial.
The book historian Richard Altick once wrote, “There has always been a popular belief that more than casual attention to books is either a symptom or a cause of madness.”
