Heads up Walmarts Black Friday flyer preview is up. When i clicked it it took me to my local store so not sure how to link it. Saw 40" tv for $98. 50" for $148 and a 65" for $278.

Here is where I saw a lot for sale but if you scroll down about 1 page and click the ADSCAN hotlink it takes you to Walmart then near the top you can click the hotlink for the Black Friday preview.

Rumor has it that Roku players will go on sale, including a Roku Streaming Stick+ for $30 (that's $20 off regular price). That's the one I want to get, to replace our ancient Roku XD that won't run Netflix as of Dec. 1.

Roku Premiere was on sale a couple of weeks ago for $30, but it doesn't support 802.11ac wireless. It's not a factor right now, but who knows, maybe I'll want to use it with a 4K TV some day.

For those who like to indulge in a LOT of reading... Amazon is offering Kindle Unlimited on a limited time sale... buy 6 months and get 20% off, 12 months 33% off, 24 months 40% off regular rate of $9.99 a month. This applies to both new and existing members. Existing members should simply go to Amazon.com, kindle unlimited, then click on "extend your membership".

Kindle unlimiited has a catalog of millions of books and hundreds of magazines, all can be downloaded and read for no additional charge. The catch is you can only keep 10 items at a time. And a lot of the books includes the audio book as well.

(And if you want it bad enough, there are hacks that let you keep those ebooks forever, but that's something else entirely)

I honestly hate "doorbuster" sales. It's impossible to find parking and some people are always ahead of you. You practically need a team to stake out a shopping center and line up hours ahead to get at any of the doorbusters at all the stuff you want.

I'm looking at the PC section to see if any good deals pop up.

I swore off sales, but with so many people singing praises of the ex-officio boxer briefs, I decided to buy a 3-pack for $20 (heavily discounted at Amazon for today), and found a pair of 10.5 6E New Balance shoes for $40. Guess that puts me a little over budget for Black Friday / Cyber Monday.

This "holiday" has been ruined by starting the Black Friday sales a month ahead of time.
Same with Cyber Monday. The sales today are exactly the same they were yesterday, and the day before, and the day before and so on and so on.......

I think it's great. I got what I wanted a week ago and didn't need to wake up early or stand in a line.
