Played a little of this last night. Very polished, good lucking graphics. Fighters are pretty nimble while weapons drain energy pretty quick so you can't just spray away. Word to the wise: This game has literally reams of text. I'm pretty sure I spent more time reading than I did playing. Not that it's terribly bad text, just unexpected.
Also, for some reason, they decided to disable the time compression feature, which is a little annoying because of what follows:
Mission 1: When I get control of my craft back, I fire my weapons to test them out. Immediately, mission failed. Whoop, better watch a minute of stupid hangar cutscene again.
Mission 2: The first batch of bad guys destroys the objective I'm supposed to protect... after I'm three jump points and five minutes of dialogue in.
Look, fellas, I appreciate that you wrote a compelling story or whatever, but if you're gonna make your game super hard, you need to let me skip all the BS so I can get into the action if I'm doing it for the second, third or fourth time.
Finally, just a minor beef, but annoying nonetheless: no taunts!
