GamingTrend offline for a short time

Did an OO refugee pass along an STD on their way out the door?

Same.

And when did OO come back? I accidentally hit the OO bookmark below my GT oneand it worked. Color me surprised.

And why does it look different? :)

Sheesh, guess you cant have just one gaming/stuff site nowadays, they both cant seem to stay up (Website viagra just popped into my head...boy am I stupid or what). Good thing there generally not down at the same time. Oh, and Daehawk OO has been up since the 19th of June, didnt you keep up with the "OO is down for a short time" thread?

It looks different because it reset your preference for forum appearance back to the default.

9:00PM EDT and GT is still down.

Second GT outage in a couple of weeks. I can't wait until it's back up so I can go over and resurrect that gushing thread about how stable they've been compared to everyone else lately.

Maybe Ron shouldn't have made that crack about changing the thread over there to OO back up for a short time.

I'm just glad we were up before they went down. For some reason I don't expect the influx of refugees coming this way that we sent that way. Probably just OOers that were planning on staying there being forced to come back and spend some time with us.

Funny thing, I remember in that insanely long thread at GT, someone (from OO) saying that every website they touch is cursed. All their fave websites go down...and someone telling that person to take off, ban him, etc.(jokingly of course). Obviously that curse was serious. Wow. A real curse! :) :ninja:

All joking aside, I'm really surprised GT is still down. It's gotta be pushing six or seven hours now, at least.

OO was off for about six hours earlier today. I think we need to have a frank and honest discussion about that somewhere on this site, but I don't see anyone starting that thread just yet.

And yeah, GT is down at the moment for me as well.

What we need is a better monitoring package.. Problem is that the lot of us supporting the site have day jobs which unfortunately have sucked up our time during the day. From what I can tell it was down for about 4 hours; once we know why it was down (assuming we can figure it out from the logs) we will letcha know.

It would be really cool to get some people back more often. Just a bit more often, you know.

It is nice to have interesting personalities all mershing into one place. It has been a little slow over here, though the action is slowly picking up.

Sometimes there's a shortage of talent, and then sometimes there's a shortage of effort, and then sometimes there's a shortage of people who just want to drop a line off a dock and see what gets caught. And for a summer song with the top dropped down, Phish's "First Tube" is a foot-tapping, subminally attractive beat.

Okay, there's certainly a dirty joke there...

I just tried to log on and no luck. Maybe it is taking the day off? Is there some IT issue going on that we aren't being told about.

However, I have complete faith that GT will be back shortly.

Maybe they've had these problems before and we - ok, I, didn't notice them because I rarely went there before. Now that I feel more of a GT person than an OOer, I'm finding that GT's problems (like being down or "unable to access database", etc.) more apparent and a little worrisome. I mean I'd moved all my mental gear there thinking they're stable and now I realize again, nothing's stable.
