Postby noxiousdog » Thu Aug 21, 2008 9:40 am

With the release of Rock Band 2 in a month, it's time for another get together. Which is better for you guys? Friday September 26, or Saturday September 27?

All are invited. I'll just have CL throw out the undesirables.

Saturday is decided then!

ND if i had the money i would so go and bring Fellstrike and Miltonite with me. While i can't play guitar hero for crap they can and would likely do well at rock band. Plus it would be cool to finally meet some OO'ers that i didn't know before getting on the boards.

I'm sure the 3 of us could split the gas bill. And you have the best car of the 3 of us, so you're driving 8-)

Edit: And yes, Arcanis, I do very well on RB2 ... hardest song I came across so far is Tenacious D "Master Exploder", which isn't entirely that bad.

I may actually be able to attend this, work permitting caveats and all that. I got RB2 and another 360 thanks to Dell the other day as part of a blanket family gift, mostly so my son could wail on the drums. Perhaps I could even drag a lurker or to into the mix.

Now that I have said that, prepare for fate to begin the work /family avalanche that will take it off the table. Stupid 3000 year old curse. I knew I should have let that mummy be!

From the Lafayette group:

We had a good time, lots of fun, lots of food, and ya'll drank lots of alcohol. We made it back here in Lafayette at 5:30 and all just crashed.

More people need to come next time; to everyone that didn't make it you missed a good night of Rock Band and drinking.

I had a great time and can't wait till next time.
I need more help than you can offer.

That was easily the best one we've thrown. Good people and good tunes. I finally made it to bed about 8am.

We even got a midnight fireworks show from the people across the street, and they were kind enough to really spend some cash on it.

We had breakfast of eggs, bacon (baked!), and sausage.

This is already on the agenda for 2010 :)

Very nice to meet the Lafayette folks. Glad you guys made it back alright. What time did you get in?

I think 5:30, but I got back to my house @ 6am .. Miltonite drove the entire way back, and I done my best to keep him awake with general bullshitery ranging from in-car rock band by getting really into singing songs and shaking the car to talking about random stuff like "Lets guess how old KeriKitKat is!" LOL

We successfully stayed awake :D

yes this party was greatness incarnate. Everyone had a good time, this is definitely on the agenda for next year for me. WE only had one person too drunk to effectively play rockband, but we won't need to mention any (N)ames now (D)o we.

Glad you guys got back ok! I can't believe you drove all that way back in the middle of the night...

The party was great! I had totally smashed my foot the day before so playing the bass pedal on drums kind of sucked, but, like a true rocker, I carried on. You guys playing guitar were pretty freakishly good... And ND, your Moonlight Sonata wasn't all that bad. At least you can play a REAL instrument. 8-)

Oh, and does the fact that y'all had to guess about my age mean I look really old or really young? Hahaha. :pop:
