The Terminator 25th Anniversary Parody

Postby Hipolito » Mon Oct 26, 2009 12:16 pm

Image

Twenty-five years ago today, The Terminator came to American theaters. It was a critical and commercial hit, solidifying Arnold Schwarzenegger's top-shelf status and introducing the word "cyborg" to the cultural lexicon.

It's one of my favorite films of all time and, for some reason, I've been keen on doing a scene-by-scene parody in my typical silly style. So, if you're with me, let's start this photoplay and get burning in the third degree.

Based on past experience, no. :(

Flickr oftentimes leaks through, but that's a clunky use for what should be a photography site. Same story for smugmug.

Looking at that now, I see that the last frame, that was the bad guy from Stallone's movie Cobra (and several others where he plays the muscle). I guess he was sick of getting tossed around, huh? :)

He played the Brujah primogen in the short live Vampire the Masquerade series from years back.

Me neither at first. My understanding is that Doc and Marty were near Kyle's arrival site and got a bit of an eyeful.

The Back to the Future picture was just meant to be a time travel cross-reference. Here are Doc and Marty trying to travel in time, and some naked guy beats them to it right in front of them. Maybe I should have added some words in there like "Great Scott, Marty! How did he do it without a flux capacitor?"

That is, indeed, Perrocarne. He may not look so tough now, but background radiation and hundreds of years of surviving the wastes will make him a helluva dog ... meat.
