Of course you do!

There's just something reassuring about having them available in digital format. They're like a gaming security blanket for me. :D

I do like the idea that GoG's versions are supposed to be good to go without any tinkering on my part. Boy do newcomers to BG have trouble getting the games running on anything past Windows XP.

Baldur's Gate I and II are now mine, as is Planescape. Those three games would probably take me a year to play and I no longer have the free time to do so like I did when I failed to complete them when they were new. But nostalgia won't let me turn them down at those prices...

Ouch, this one will hurt. How does Outcast run on modern systems? Using voxels, I would assume it's better on today's faster CPUs?

I already have all the inifinity engine games on GOG, but I had to add Arx Fatalis to my collection. I'm still debating a few others.

Heroes III complete for $6.99... To never find my disks again nor worry about patches and compatibility. And while I'm there the M&M six pack for $6.99... And MoM for $4.19... And JA2 for $4.99...

This might just happen.

Very wise of them to do this prior to the STEAM insanity on 12/20. I already own most of the games I would buy (which will be good when I have to prove to someone after the Apocalypse that I'm legit), but being able to download and use a game that's configured to work with Win7 is fantastic.

Sweet. Might & Magic 6-Pack is mine. Glad I waited and saved $3.00. Think I'll finally pick up Planescape as well.

I'm tempted by the Might and Magic pack. I've never played the series, so this may be a good time to give it a whirl.

OK, see you sometime in 2014. Remember to eat and drink whilst playing all 6 of those!

I can't even imagine how many gaming hours are in that little pack...

I thought Seven Kingdoms 2 and The Nations: Gold at $3 each, but I'm just not that interested. No purchases for me.

This could have been a dangerous sale for me. Managed to only pick the Might and Magic pack... nice.

Bought my third (!!) copy of BG2 and began play immediately.

It's amazing how well this game has aged.

Might & Magic 2 is one of the games, along with X-Com and Star Control 2, that I always seem to go back to every couple of years. I remember liking the later games as well, but they never pulled me in like the 2nd one.

I ended up with Outcast and Might and Magic. There were a few others that I added to my cart and removed. I'm not playing them now, and their everyday are low enough that I can just say, "I know where they are when I want them." Assuming, of course, no more random shutdowns.

Yeah, I kind of went batshit and bought 14 or so titles. Even though I own most physical copies of these games, it's nice to have them ready to run on today's system without DRM.

My current game total for GoG: 47

I bit on BG2 (I never played through). Characters are SMALL for these old eyes - but this an RPG legend - gotta do it. Anyone want to weigh in on Icewind Dale 2? Not sure if I should pick this up - but the sale won't last forever. Anyone love this or hate it?

I have such fond memories of M&M 3. I've never gone back to it but I threw away $15 on the M&M pack years ago. It didn't work. :( That's why GoG has me tempted.

EliotR,

I really enjoyed IWD2. The thing to remember/know is that the IWD series is really more about battles. The story is a lot lighter than the BG series. However, you get to create your own party (and I am aware that there are ways to do the same thing in BG - but it's not really designed for it). IWD2 is really about making a party and fighting. Everything else is kind of sidelined. You aren't going to get the complicated storyline or the NPC interactions (since there aren't any). But if you like the fights, then IWD2 is a lot of fun. And it had some tough battles.

To me it was definitely worth it.
