Hence my comment on him being lucky or yo lying. I received a PM as well.

Sure, you take:
ALIN_SECTOID - scanned once
EMPY_QANTAGA - scanned once - infected once
STCH_STESSIER - scanned once - infected once
YCAR_COOPASONIC - scanned twice
THIF_NEWCASTLE - scanned twice - infected once
SUSI_UNAGI - scanned twice - infected once[/quote]

and I'll take:
POPP_MR_BUBBLES- scanned never
AFRI_AUSTIN - scanned never
SEAL_ISGRIMNUR - scanned once
BNDK_TRU1CY - scanned once
DAVB_LAGOM_LITE - scanned once
SMPN_CHAOSRAVEN - scanned twice

It is my understanding that only permission bits are redistributed and the PM I received does nothing to counter that understanding.

Downtime Sequence of Resolution:
Process All Programs orders (in the following order)

login
system_scan
back_up
ping
Process Flynn order (backup)
Process Thorpe order (infect)
Process Daft Punk - Guy-Manuel order (infect if possible)
Process Daft Punk - Thomas order (infect if possible)
Process Quorra order (anti-virus)
Process All Programs orders (in the following order)

virus_scan
anti_virus
System Restore
Process All Program's sector search
Sector searches come last, so it's possible.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

No. Austin is lying *or* Lassr hit the jackpot on his sector search which is processed AFTER the system scan.

I have two more permission bits than I had previously, which is why I am asking Flynn to save me. If Austin is being straight and we (the Users team) have 3 more permission bits than we had yesterday and one less it required due to the lynch, I like our chances tonight.

What saving do you need? There are no night derezzes and winning conditions are checked upon sunrise.

Hmmm, interesting.
If USERS "don't make it this time" - are you going to switch to ENCOM, and hence make that requested "Flynn Back-Up" NULL-n-VOID?

Are are you 'commited' 8-) On USERS for the long haul?

I ask this on behalf of Flynn, and his precious Back-Up.

I still want to lynch tru1cy and take his precious bits. Again one less program to account for and more bits to do the accounting. Also we'll have a full virus scan to make sure we can minimize the bits requires if we don't make it again.

Taking out Lassr changes the picture in my mind. If he was actually Thorne, then corruption is screwed. I think ENCOM still has a tough road as they need to identify and figure out how to kill Flynn (lynch or admin and I know one admin rights that is out of play). Users is still the best chance the unnamed have, despite your argument to the contrary last uptime.

I'm committed to Users until I see a better option. Right now I don't see a better option.

I have no doubt Sark and others will be trying to Derezz me next uptime. If I join ENCOM I lose backup protection so I'm staying here for the foreseeable future.

But I do hope they win, they are just misinformed. ENCOM was the real enemy.

When this is all done - I will be telling y'all how I tried to get (most of us) to win, and you all just tossed me aside.

I will echo what Lassr had to say.

...and you have no reasonable way to know that.

Flynn and Quorra are alive and there are a LOT of bits still in play. Unless it turns out tru1cy is actually Sark rather than MCP, I know where to get more if we come up short again. Even if he is Sark, lynching him helps the users cause in a meaningful way.

Tonight's virus scan should tell me a lot and this time half of it is being done by one of the only people I trust implicitly (me).

I'll summarize from a completely detached, fair and balanced viewpoint:

POPP_MR_BUBBLES- quiet
AFRI_AUSTIN - exposed Lassr as corruption, led lynch mob
SEAL_ISGRIMNUR - pulling for Users lightly
BNDK_TRU1CY - accused by Coop of being MCP with circumstantial evidence, response is not clear
DAVB_LAGOM_LITE - quiet
ALIN_SECTOID - quiet
EMPY_QANTAGA - quiet
STCH_STESSIER - participating, but hard read
YCAR_COOPASONIC - pulling hard for users victory
SMPN_CHAOSRAVEN - participating, but hard read
THIF_NEWCASTLE - participating, but hard read
SUSI_UNAGI - pulling hard for corruption, good evidence he has seen the grid

At this point I really want to go back and read everything, but mostly due to my chatter it's a lot to read. ;)

Here is where I say things that are purely my perspective:
Unagi wants to take me down, seemingly because I am pushing the user victory which he states won't happen. I can't get anything out of him to show why that is and I seriously doubt his evidence. He is in love with corruption and I suspect he is named corruption.
I'm backing off tru1cy for now. I'd love to see someone impartial (hah!) system scan him and let me know what they see now. I still suspect him and want his permission bits.

Despite the thread title, it's downtime 4 and time to get orders in.

Um, I think that's short of the full picture.

Let's add: Unagi claims that the path to the "Corrupt Victory" has been closed, Unagi no longer has any reason to lie (Actually, I could always just want to lie, I suppose....) and the USER Victory, according to his view of the Grid is a total Pipe Dream at this point (I should say, that I am sure maybe 3-5 players maybe could win with USERS, but I can't see them organizing the Bits. (If Users win, it will be long, protracted, and totally random/lucky as to who wins with Flynn)

I offered a great number of players a nearly clear path to a victory (One we could actually put a little control and purpose behind), but no one (spare Qantaga) even really considered it. (Probably making Qantaga, Flynn)

OK, assuming you are truthy and corrupt victory is impossible, we are left with Users and ENCOM.

I still don't get what the Grid can tell you about the Users victory condition being impossible or unlikely. I *know* with absolute certainty where enough permission bits lie to allow significantly more than 3-5 players to win. Assuming there are any bits out there in other unnamed programs hands it's just a matter of getting them to login to users. The only other thing that needs to happen is to wipe out infection. This helps both Users and ENCOM the only difference is that ENCOM needs to lynch Flynn.

Now I don't know where I was going with this. I guess I just don't want people to lose hope with Users, we have to be on the verge unless all the prior virus scans are lies and we'll find out about that after Scoop gets this downtime processed.

If you are a named User program, coop, I think you played well.

If you are an unnamed program, I think you may have walked a lot of fellow unnamed programs to their demize and I think you missed a chance that I was trying to give everyone.

I can't say "for certain" that the User victory is dead. I admit that.

Actually, I take it all back - You guys will likely win with a User Victory. :horse:

this is very different from our standard WW games. Usually you only have to wait on orders from about 3-4 parties, not 12-15 people. IN WW games the standard downtime is generally 24 hours, somtimes less if everyone has posted in the thread so that way people cant gauge who is special by the lack/delaying/ or timing of posts in correlation to when the next turn starts.

I would bet that the reason this is taking so long is truicy, who previously mentioned he was having spotty internet access this weak.

ahh, so you're a stalker then eh? if scoop had received all his orders am sure he would have submitted the turn. Maybe he's busy. This is a very complex game with a lot of moving parts....i mean dealing with 12+ orders each cycle...does take time. I am sure he will cycle the turn asap. Yeah i am eager for it to cycle through also. But hey its life.

I gained a real appreciation of how long it takes to set things up and get things rolling and cycling through each turn when i did my first bond last summer. I mean it doesnt take forever, but it does take some time.
