digital camera movies

I have a Canon A75 digital camera. It has some software that lets me hook it up with the USB cord and remote shoot with it. It has a real time window on my computer screen and I can set it to take pictures at intervals if I want. What Im wondering is there some software that will let me use it as a netcam and also to record video straight to my hard drive. Anyone know of anything like that?

I believe Windows Media Encoder can record straight to the hard drive that way. I am pretty sure that you can use any camera with most IM software, too.

Is that part of winXP or seperate software? Dont think ive heard of it before.
