My off-the-shelf Acer Aspire G600p came with a so-called "Acer Boot CD". I assume it has the OEM version of Windows XP or whatever, so one day I'll probably need it. Out of curiosity, I shoved it in the drive and opened Explorer.
Absolutely nothing at all. That's odd, I thought. So I rang Acer tech support and was told that it's perfectly normal, and nothing will show up. If I ever need to use the disc, I have to insert it then configure my BIOS to boot from CD-ROM.
1. Is this normal for a boot disc?
2. If there is indeed stuff on the disc, why doesn't it show up in Explorer?
