Okay, so I've been away for the past 15 days. Just got back from a 1400-mile drive home from Northern Michigan. First stop was to pick up my mail (as my rent is "late" if I pay it tomorrow), and I see that the office has my wootoff box. The girl comes out of the parcel room, looks at me with my half-a-month's worth of mail, and says "Your package is huge." (Maybe I'm paraphrasing to my benefit, but you get the gist.) I ask for a bag for my mail and we go in the back door so that we can grab my package. (Okay, I'll stop.)

It is huge. And at 95ºF, it was a beast to lug back to my apartment. But lug it I did. And then I opened 'er up. From the label on the outside it appeared as if There. Were. Four. Items. (Ahem.)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Unboxing from the top.
Image
Apparently a Topsy Turvy Strawberry Planter. (Wonder if it'd do tomatoes?)

Yep!
Image
Well, yep, that's what it is. Not sure about the 'maters.

Digging deeper into the box...
Image
Looks like a T-shirt, bag, and something underneath with foam endcaps...

It *is* a T-shirt!
Image
Size small (Tall small?) probably appropriate for a 5-year old. (I have a niece that turned five on 7/30.)

Next up...
Image
Some sort of black-and-white patterned bag.

Not too shabby...
Image
Actually seems waterproof inside. Pretty skimpy in terms of weight, but likely perfect to take to the beach for your sunscreen and the like. Decent size, too.

And at the bottom?
Image
It's an electronic device of some kind. Wrapped in plastic...

ABC Smoother SpaceSaver by Blendtec
Image
I open up the manual and see the smallest size is 13A, 1500W. W. T. F. ?

Huge doesn't begin to describe this thing.
Image
I intentionally shot from this angle to disguise its height.

Model ICB3 Smoother
Image
Are these any good? (Checks google. $200 used as cheapest, $700 new, regularly priced at $1500. Made for bars and other such establishments. Holy. Fuck. !

The whole haul
Image
Yeah, the shirt fits the blender, which wouldn't fit in the bag (which comes up to the height of my futon matress in the background). Wowzers.

Not bad for $8. Especially considering, you know, this.

It's damn near impossible to get a bag of crap. I clicked I WANT ONE 1 minute after it started and have been on 2 separate computers and my phone for over an hour, with no luck.

Well, either it is too popular or they need to increase server capacity significantly.

Of course, right after the $3 bag of crap is an $1100 projector. LOL!

If memory serves, it used to be a BoC for $1 + $5 shipping. You had the option to order up to 3. At some point they just decided to set it up so that everyone 'got 3'. It either makes packaging that much easier or else everyone only gets one and they upped the price...

It used to be you could get 9 pieces of crap and it was $1 per BoC. How much is it now for a BoC?

The choices were 1 2 or 3 same as they were for everthing else. The number of items you got may have been loosely related to that selection. Now there can be only one and it costs $3 and the number of items is still more or less random. I've gotten one before and one after and they both pretty much look like they are throwing sh!t in a box until it's full enough and taping it up.
