The Community cast tests their pop-culture knowledge.

Spoiler:
They know some ridiculous pop-culture.

I just realized this morning that Yvette does the voice of Cookie on Pound Puppies.

And on the topic of extracurricular activities for those at Greendale Community College, Dean Pelton is up for an Oscar for best adapted screenplay.

Good lord, the amount of raw talent on Community is amazing. It needs to be renewed, damn it.

The PSA's have started.

No! You posted something ambiguous on the Internet and now I get to feel superior for the rest of the day! Sorry won't cut it.

A death on the show?

My money's on Chang or the Dean. Both are pretty successful outside Community and might be asking to leave.

My guess is Leonard. For one, he's damn old. Secondly, he eats too much frozen pizza. Could also be the psych professor. That actor seemingly has a lot going on.

I would much prefer it to be Starburns, though. I've never found his character very funny.

I like Alex. But, I think if he died it would make for an interesting episode about how nobody really quite knew him, or maybe a retrospective of their individual relationships that they never shared with the group. It might evoke personal introspective crisis with the study group to have somebody they know perish; and that might echo in them re-evaluating all of their study group relationships. I think Alex would be a better choice than Fat Neal or Leonard for that sort of episode.

If they are going to burn a character - they better make it a great episode. Also, IMHO, Alex would make the most entertaining ghost... Can you imagine a continuing thread with him haunting some parts of the Greendale campus?

Community can be its own worst enemy. I think they've given us so many truly outstanding episodes that when they give us one that doesn't measure up to their best, it feels almost as if they let us down. Still, even at their worst they're way better than 90 percent of network tv comedy.

I liked the little fan nods last night. When shirley uses her "baby voice" on her fiance and he responds, "Don't use your sexy voice with me!", I laughed at Britta and Jeff's "Oooohhhhh" of realization.

I also laughed at Annie's Boobs making a reappearance, the dig at Subway's sponsorship of Chuck, and the return of Inspector Spacetime.

+1

Loved Troy in the "let's try to be normal" conversation: "we'll just wear normal grey blazers and grey trousers. (big pause) And grey shirts, shoes, socks and ties. Then when we lay down on the sidewalk we'll be camouflaged!" or something to that extent. LOL.
"Look this has gotta be some kind of mistake. Our daughter is tiny, there's no way she assaulted anyone. Insulted maybe. Was the cop wearing white socks and dark shoes? Because that really sets her off."

For a wedding episode, it was somewhat of a downer. I enjoyed Troy and Abed playing "normal" but I would have loved to see what was happening in the last 5 minutes of them in the Dreamatorium.

Britta's weird voice when she says, "This is who I am..." was just so out of place weird it was unnervingly funny.

Now that was a great episode. I had to rewind and watch Dean Pelton almost pass out after seeing Jeff about 3 times. "My God, even his shadow!"

And of course, "We love you, Seacrest Hulk!"

Wow...couldn't have been a bigger turnaround! I was worried they were getting the "we're getting canceled, so fuck it" blues after last week's yawner, but no! Hit it outta the park! Definitely one of my top 5 fave episodes.

They already had me laughing in the first 15 seconds when medicated Jeff walked in and either Abed or Troy are heard in the background saying "Whoa!" Just the way they said it was freekin hilarious.

I actually ran into Troy in williamsburg brooklyn, crossing a street about year and half ago. I realized it was him right away, and asked him if he knew how to make it to some such street where my friends were having a party ( i actually really wasnt sure which way it was) he had smart phone and looked it up quickly. Not the most cleverest way to talk to celebrity but hey, i will take what i can get.

In person he sounded just like in a show, and didnt mind helping. I never mentioned community or anything, since i am sure he got that a lot.

I'm also quite happy to see two ongoing story arcs (potentially) appearing:

Spoiler:
Chang and his Arab Spring uprising using kids. And the return of evil twin Abed.

I loved last nights episode, it was "classic" Community all around. Lots of great moments, but the one line that really hit me was:

"You should try reading 1984 by George Orwell."
"Oh I did in High School, it really opened my mind. I think all students should be forced to read it."

I also liked how the Subway rep couldn't stand up to get his coat after listening to the sex tape.
