We had a medical building on the south side of Lubbock when I lived there. I got all sorts of enjoyment out of the Cornerstone Urology clinic, and was bummed out when they moved out. Until they were replaced by Polk Eye Associates.

I remember training in Cingular when the trainer was pulling up customer accounts. To this day, I'm still bummed that I couldn't name my Rock Band band Jesus Cappuccino.

If every one who does x is entered into a drawing to win y and if you figure you actually have to have a drawing do you have to give y away if you don't spell out in devil of the details? For that matter could someone assign the odds as 1 in Brazillion without explicitly stating it and then when like three hundred people do x could offer maker dude make their aggregate odds of winning only be 300 in a Gajillion.

Edit: Fed need not speculate.

I'm pretty sure you'd need to either lay out the odds of winning or specify that it varies based on number of entries received. Otherwise, you would be looking at fraud.

Yesterday I spilled coffee all over myself. Today when I was driving home during a fabulous April snowstorm I played bumper cars with the car in front of me. What can I do accidentally tomorrow?

Co-worker (we're a small team, we're fairly close as far as co-workers go) was hit by a bus last night. He's actually on my wife's ward at the hospital with head injuries.

Bad. News.

That's the one. I cross that intersection with him about 2-4 times a month, as our schedules are different but occasionally match up and he lives in my neighbourhood so he gives me a lift home. He was crossing to the park and ride where he parks his car before taking the bus downtown and vice versa.

No word yet. My wife says she's gotten a decent to good vibe from the people she's spoken to (there are ethical issues about medical information, of course) so I'm hoping for the best. She works tomorrow so I'll see it in her eyes one way or the other.

I will say that intersection is a death trap, but if I'm truthful, it's due to erratic pedestrian behaviour at a crowded bus station right beside a college.

Arkansas limits it to a single month? Most states have open season all summer.

Also, June is "Shapely Ass Month", so you might want to pick out some bike shorts to wear around the office.

WarPig, I think most people just go too damn fast. Not thinking first because someone will help them out is another problem for the majority or at least the majority of the ones that piss us off.

My husband just got through loading something on my computer. I was making an attempt to go slow and click appropriately while maneuvering decisively. Even with him sitting next to me and guiding me, I still managed to click wrong :( try as I do, the whole computer gig is hexed, wink.

You IT fellas, don't get paid enough.

Gah, another week, another huge argument. Need to get a credit report and see how many cc's have my name on it.
Need a vacation, but Belgium fell through. Maybe I could take a couple of days off, but I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. There's not a cloud in the sky, but the sun never came up for me today.

In case you're wondering, half a bottle of hand lotion (scented like cocoa butter) will absolutely clog a bathroom sink if your six year old decides to "experiment" and see what will happen when you rinse it down the drain. It will also look like alien snot when said snake retrieves it from the depths of plumbing hell.

For those with young children, invest in a small drain snake now. I have no idea why or when I originally purchased mine, but it just paid for itself.

Our once-in-a-decade spring cleaning is underway, spurred by the arrival of a new Dyson vacuum cleaner (replacing a 25-year-old bottom-of-the-line Hoover). We put on dust masks and I used the leaf blower to blast out all the radiators, corners, and under immovable furniture. I kicked up enough dust to affect global climate.

Now taking a short break from cleaning it all up.

Tell me you are kidding with the leaf lower? The Dyson's motor is so strong you just needed the hose and brush/broom thing. I don't care for the bag less ness but it's a good unit.

No vacuum cleaner attachment can get between the ribs of a radiator and between the radiator and the wall. The leaf blower really does the job. I'm going to try to remember to blast them every 2-3 years from now on.

I'm very pleased with the Dyson's debut performance. The old Hoover's motor was still going strong but the hose and attachments had so many leaks that it was next to useless. It was a pleasure to use a full-strength vacuum cleaner again, inasmuch as vacuuming can ever be a pleasure.
