Although I agree, it is not perfect (speaking as someone who likes perfection), it is a heck of a lot better than the alternatives.

For the most part, yes. Although, the last two games have had unique forums. Grund used a separate forum for his Prague game (since it was running in conjunction with the end of Lassr's BSG game) and Chaos is using a different secret forum for the current JLA game.
