Hahaha. You are correct. Or allow anyone to bring pie into the office even...unless we kept it in our desk drawer.

They put a new metal roof on our house today. Took them less than two hours. Looks great and should stand up better to hail and fail limbs and crashing helicopters.

My wife wants me to take her down to the DMV next month so she can get her drivers license renewed. She wants to have me help her walk in. God help civilization if she gets it and actually has to drive someday. :?

Eh. First world problems. I'm lucky to have a job, and I get to keep my miles and hotel points, so eventually I'll go to the Caribbean for just a vacation with no work attached.

It's just mildly annoying, moreso because last time I had a work conflict for the same place, I willingly offered the tropical destination to the same co-worker and took the trip to Oklahoma instead, feeling like it would be a really nice thing for me to do, because I've been to the VI twice for work and she'd never been out of the country. She went, and didn't like it at all. Complained about the heat, humidity, bugs and island mentality.

Oh, sad day.

I run a shop with three full sized printer/copy machines because you never know when two are going to break down at once and break your flow ... Bam, two of them break today and I swear to pancake I've had to fend them off from breaking the third and it's becoming a full time job.

The only positive is the 20,000+ frequent flyer miles I'll earn this month. Lets me make a sanity weekend getaway to San Diego with Mrs Skinypupy.

Of course, that requires another plane...and hotel...and cab...aw, fuck it. :)

You would sort of think that almost 6 months after changing jobs, current health insurance claims made against your prior employer would fail - and you'd be wrong. For reasons I don't quite understand, they're still paying the premiums and the policy is active. You'd also think that after correcting the doctor's office (in writing) that when they submit future claims they should be using your new insurance information. Once again, you'd be wrong. Part of me wants to say that when two agencies are failing to catch the mistake and two claims are made against a policy that should have expired in December, I really shouldn't care.

There's a significant number of people in the United States that don't have insurance and somehow we're covered under two polices...but only paying for one. It boggles the mind.

The only problem is that eventually the first insurance company will figure it out and then they will come after you for those bills creating an even bigger f-up.

Yeah, that's why we contacted the previous employer and let them know they're still carrying an active policy and that we requested the bills be resubmitted by the doctor's office to the correct insurance company. Honestly, I'm waiting for BCBS to send a threatening letter, demanding premiums. It would totally make sense that somehow we'd be on the hook for paying a bill that was sent to the wrong insurance company and given the green light by the old employer. I'm telling you right now if that happens, I'm going to be Internet Famous (tm).
