HAHA! I saw that, too, last night as I watched the videos. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw it, both because it meant the crazy guy was still alive for the moment, and also it reaffirmed my belief in humankind that the BSB were indeed still broken up.
In reference to your comment about his friends eating him one day, I was reminded of Sigfreid and Roy. I do, however, think that his relationship is and was COMPLETELY different from those guys' relationship with their animals. He seems to have true animal behavioral science attatched to his practice in a very natural setting, while S&R are putting those animals in a situation that no one could ever predict behavior (bright lights, cheering and screaming crowds, flashbang puffs of smoke, etc.).
