Civ5 Gods & Kings - Hey TiLT

Postby Lagom Lite » Wed May 16, 2012 1:10 pm

...you'll always have the Norwegian Ski Infantry. :P
But you've seen who's in heaven
Is there anyone in hell?

Have they announced when the expansion is going to be released?

There's... there's Norwegian ski infantry in the game?

Seriously though, I'm not sure there's such a thing as "Norwegian ski infantry" in real life, at least not as dedicated units. On the other hand, all Norwegian soldiers are trained at skiing, which really isn't necessary if you as me. Show me a Norwegian who claims he can't ski, and I'll show you a liar. ;)
Insert witty comment here.

June 19th in the US, June 22nd everywhere else.

Overview here

Re: Norwegian Ski Infantry: It really sounds like a cheesy Monty Python sketch reference. And while Denmark did indeed own Norway for a period of time, it's like giving the Canadian Royal Mounties to France or something.

This is why I didn't like how they implemented Denmark/Norway - and now Sweden/Finland (Hakkapelitta). They should have just gone the Norse/Vikings route like they always do.

Still - I get to play my own nation, so thanks for that I guess. Didn't see it coming tbh.

Civ V is on sale this weekend for 75% off. So is the DLC. I finally broke down and bought all the extra civs for the princely sum of $6.83.

Now I'm going to feel like a sap if it's included in the Gods & Kings expansion anyway.

I'm getting the DLC too now. I've heard good things about 'em and it refreshes the game for me. Well worth it.

From what I read on wikipedia, only Mongolia and Spain will be included. You'd still have to buy the other DLC civs separately.
