sandisk extreme 480GB for $380? Any reason not to?

Postby coopasonic » Fri Jun 08, 2012 1:40 pm

Why is it so cheap!? It's amazon's deal of the day:

If someone wants to provide an OO link, I'd use it. Any reason I *shouldn't buy this? I've basicaklly been waiting for an SSD cheap enough and big enough that I didn't need to mess with 2 drives or with wife approval. This fits the bill unless there is a negative I am not seeing. Only one review on newegg. Not much on Tom's Hardware either...

Well crap if they are going to hide it like that I don't see why I should bother to use it!

I made the same point in the meta forum and was promptly shushed. :D

And hells yes you should go for that...the higher capacity drives kick ass...even more so than the 120 or 256GB versions, which are already smokin' fast.

The only reason(s) I can think of:

1. No 2.5/3.5 adapter (according overclock3d review) - so more useful in a laptop than desktop
2. Better deal(s) may be coming (but this a damn sweet deal - I almost bought it for my 3rd SSD).

If you don't have one, and have the cash, I'd be all over it.
There are three ways to not tell the truth: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
