Psst. The ref is in on the act.

Not to mention helps manage timing of the spots and verifies that the wrestlers are ok after a dangerous spot. Not like the opposing wrestler can go over and say. hey you good to continue? There are prearranged cues that the ref will give them so that they know that everyone is ok and to proceed on to the next spot.
