There's something funky about this one. The list of games only comes to $125 and sells for $50 saving you $75. Not sure what is missing to get it up to $219.92.

Glad I could help. :D

From a strict gameplay perspective, Sword of Islam ($2.49) and Ruler Designer ($2.99) are the only DLC that will change gameplay.

The three sprite packs are $0.49 each, the music packs are $0.49 for one, $1.19 each for the other three.

Talk about nickle and diming...charging extra for a song?! That's taking the whole DLC model to a new low IMO.

I am not complaining about the cost (esp. with the sale), but the mere fact that even songs are now being left out to be added on later?

For me, I would rather they leave stuff in and raise the price slightly, and just leave DLC to be campaigns and such. What's next, paying extra for higher resolution options or certain 3D effects? Higher definition sounds? Looks like we are headed that way.

Even better, per the Islam music description, it only plays if you're playing as an Islamic ruler, which is, of course, a separate DLC.

I've tried to stay away from any info about Portal 2 as I didn't want it to ruin a possible gaming experience... Now, I enjoyed the first one - way more than I thought I would, but more for the story and less for the puzzles. Truth be told, if it takes me more than 5 minutes to figure it out, I'm going to find the answer. Not only am I lazy, but if I get frustrated, I'm likely to just retire the game forever. So my question is, was Portal 2 designed for people that thought the first one was too easy? If there's a great story element, I'm down but if it's just harder puzzles and some cube jokes, I'll probably pass.

If you like GLaDOS in the first one, the story in the second one is awesome with a couple of great new characters. The only time I got aggravated was when my son, who had already solved it all, would watch me struggle to figure one out. Some are indeed harder, but it was worth it by far. I can't think of another recent game that I loved more. And it is of course considerably longer than the first one, but not too long.

There were a few puzzles that took me more than 5 minutes to figure out, but it's definitely not 'just harder puzzles and some cube jokes'. The story and voice acting are both top-notch, there's a ridiculous # of laugh-out-loud moments, and they managed to make a sequel to Portal that doesn't feel like a rehash. Going into Portal 2 I had no idea how they were going to accomplish that.

There is a great story. I'll just say this, either you'll be 100% in love in the first 10 minutes or you might as well not bother. There are also new physics and gameplay elements. And multiplayer coop is amazing.

Difficulty is about the same, though some of the maps are much larger. For me most of the fun was figuring them out without looking for hints. None are that hard.

I actually like VI. It has issues, but it also has received some patches recently. Only crappy part is staying connected to Uplay if you want Dynasty mode.

Walking Dead is interesting, and I'll be buying it before the sale is ove, but the rule is if it's not a daily deal or 75% off, wait til the end.

The base game is $9.99 and the complete pack is $29.99. I'm pondering if the expansions are worth $20 to a complete CK newb.

Thanks.

*ahem*

Do not buy the Crusader Kings II Collection!!

Base game is $9.99. The DLC is on sale individually, all of which can be obtained for another $11.01 total. And half of that DLC is just more music tracks.

Also, the Collection only contains 6 of the 9 DLC.

Of the 9 total DLC, 4 are only songs, 3 are graphic-only updates, one is Create your own ruler, and the last is the ability to play as the Islamic characters.

Am I looking at this wrong or did they modify the prices to make this a more attractive deal?

Buy Crusader Kings II Collection
Includes 7 items: Crusader Kings II, Crusader Kings II: Dynasty Shields, Crusader Kings II: Mongol Faces, Crusader Kings II: Songs of Albion, Crusader Kings II: Songs of Faith, Crusader Kings II: Ruler Designer, Crusader Kings II: Songs of the Holy Land $12.49

Still not all of the DLC but maybe worth it now.

That's a great deal on Warlock. I don't mind that I already got it though. I got a good deal at the time. But at that price it's an easy decision.

I was poking around and clicked on the Under $10 tab. The second option is Deus Ex: Human Revolution for $17.99. Um...

I've never played any of the Saints Row games. But I seem to recall they have good buzz. And from Smoove's comment, that would also be a no-brainer?

As someone that lost access to his STEAM account because my credit card company deemed multiple small-value purchases over a short period of time as potential signs of theft, I'm very careful now to cluster all transactions. :)

I really should look into getting funds for the STEAM wallet. Probably a much safer (and easier) option.
