Sporadic Access Issues

Post by Isgrimnur »

I'm getting intermittent delays and errors this afternoon while trying to connect to the forum. Any ideas?
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Same - just within the last hour. Was fine through noon central.

The internet needs more gogo juice? Any how it's not (or wasn't) just you. But it also appears to be better *right now.*

I'm getting those delays right now. Pages and threads are loading very slowly. Multiple clicks are required.

Did anyone else lose all access for a few hours this afternoon?

It was because of GoDaddy's issues.

So many people chose GoDaddy due to the boob girls advertising. Must be tons without access across the net today :)

We don't host at GoDaddy.. Unfortunately with my workload I don't get to check in much from the office - the only portion that's hosted at GoDaddy is our DNS and Domain Name.. The server with the OOTubes is somewhere else.

Then again I guess if our DNS records aren't available, neither is the server.

Yeah I noticed that I could access OO from my work vpn but not from my home pc so I figured there was a dns problem and hardcoded OO into my hosts file

No errors but it seems like DNS is being goofy or traffic too congested. I've no idea if it's just me and *my* DNS provider/ISP or if OO is hanging for everyone.

Twice today I had some pages take upwards of a minute to load after the click, but never a fail.
