[Marvel] Cloak and Dagger - Greenlight for TV Series

Post by tru1cy »

Will appear on Freeform formerly ABC Family. Sadly, they're shooting for the 12 -21 bracket with the show. Cloak and Dagger was one of favorite comics growing up

When they started (and this was a long time ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy) Cloak and Dagger were both teenagers, right? So I could see this working as a teen type show on something like Freeform.

I wonder if I get that channel? I think I got ABC Family, but 'Freeform' doesn't sound familiar at all. Hmm...

I probably still have the 4 issue miniseries.

I loved these characters

Awesome. Browsing OO in my math class and I just snorted and sniggered my coffee onto the desk while the prof is explaining Calculating Volume.

So that's how the Kingdom of Ur ended: with a closing tag.

That’s two trailers joined. The second one is more character-driven, and may be a bit spoilery..

Starts in a few days.

I watched the first hour of the premier, before I was pulled away by parental obligations. It's pretty good so far -- I like both of the lead actors, and it's significantly better than the CW-ish junk you might expect.

I know nothing about these Marvel characters, just that this show was coming. We just watched the first two episodes last night and I'd like to see where it goes next. Agree on the leads and generally enjoyed what I've seen so far, just had to put up with the wife commenting that it was "too slow and draggy" while I'm trying to tell her this is just the world building / backstory part of their arc. Looks like things will kick up several notches in the next episode.

Since this is coming back for Season 2, did anyone watch Season 1?

I did - I really enjoyed it. It started a little slow but the last few episodes I really liked.

The only thing that bugs me is how Marvel's TV series are split apart all over the place. I would love to see them unified the way DC did so that they could do crossovers. I've lost track of all the different shows and where they air, off the top of my head:

Cloak and Dagger - Freeform
Agents of SHIELD - ABC
Legion - FX
Runaways - Hulu
The Gifted - Fox
Daredevil, Defenders, Punisher, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones - Netflix (now defunct)

Give it some time, and it will all be on Disney+.
