I'm surprised. I thought that this was a Daehawk post.Rip wrote:I'm still mesmerized by an inexplicable attraction to Selina. In all the Batman stories I have never really been attracted to Catwoman until now and I can't seem to shake it.

Eh, she doesn't look her age, and the character is given a flirty attitude. Initial attraction is human. Following up on that once you recognize that she's underage is when it becomes a problem.

Re: [TV] Gotham (Spoilers)
I was 4 episodes behind on this and finally watched them last night. The scene where Bruce confronted his parents' "killer" was excellent. The guy playing Matches was superb; he played the line between cold hearted killer and broken man perfectly. And Bruce's line, "I wish you were a monster, but you're just a man" - loved it.
Sucks that the show's ratings are taking a dive. At least it's renewed already.

Being from the south, it's positively proper of you. Although she's probably what most of your peers would consider an old maid.

I dunno, did he find her on his family tree?
It's almost as if people are the problem.

If Penguin or someone does away with her in a suitably violent way I'll put up with her for a couple episodes.

Been bingeing the past couple days, really like the Characters and scenarios, the script writing is terrible.

Being slow on the uptake, and still enjoying this show, I find it interesting that after so many years of "the villains are a response to Batman" we have a story where Batman is the, eventual, response to these weird villains.

On the bright side, that suggests she'll somehow end up as bird-food for the Penguin.Rip wrote:Cuttlefish Mooney.

Not sure if anyone is still watching, but I've been enjoying this season so far. The return of a particular villain this week was awesome - I was wondering when it was going to happen.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

The kid playing Bruce Wayne still knocks it out of the park. He needs to eventually become the Batman. I love his slow evolution into a coldly observant yet compassionate detective.

Re: [TV] Gotham (Spoilers)
Apparently the same person in charge of scheduling Lucifer also runs Gotham, so I'll just copy-paste my observations here - because they're mind boggling.
I don't really understand the logic of how they're airing this show. They stopped on 11/28 and resumed on 1/16...for three weeks. Now the show isn't coming back until 4/24? Why the hell did they stop for 6 weeks, air three more and now disappear for 3 months? Does that make sense to anyone?

Christmas? Sports? I remember before FSD, our local affliates would always pre-empt regular shows on Fox with sports during certain seasons. They were brutal to DS9 with showing end of the season Pistons and Red Wings games.Smoove_B wrote:Apparently the same person in charge of scheduling Lucifer also runs Gotham, so I'll just copy-paste my observations here - because they're mind boggling.

This thread makes me want to catch the backlog. I quit watching when Fish Mooney was taking over the literal underground organ transplants ring. I watched an episode last week out of looking for TV and it was enough better than when I stopped that it held my interest.

I'm enjoying the hell out of Season 3. It's very villain heavy and Gotham casting did a fantastic job with them.LordMortis wrote:Christmas? Sports? It's also pretty brutal and dark. Surprised at the level of violence they can get away with just by leaving out cuss words and a nipple.

Re: [TV] Gotham (Spoilers)
The season finale was pretty fantastic, at least from my perspective. They made some huge jumps on the journey from The Jim Gordon Show to Batman. They killed off several characters that were not traditionally canon characters, including
They began Bruce's training in earnest over the past several episodes, and introduced him to one of his biggest antagonists in the finale. They also showed us a real Batman moment in there.
I don't know whether they'll use it for next season or not, but they also killed off

Re: [TV] Gotham (Spoilers)
How many time do they have to kill off a character and bring them back before you quit falling for it?
Edit: I do love the way Barbara lights up the room and The Riddlers is the coolest guy in Gotham.
