I'm not so sure it was so horrible really.

3 things.
First and foremost, I don't disagree with his core decision to come out today at N-1 regardless**. It's hard to sit on a freakin wolf scan especially after 1/3 are dead. You can stand on a higher ground of technicalities, I'm sure , but I do support his choice to pronounce his scans. (** however, if we had lynched El Guapo instead I'd like to think he would have sat on it.) ((to the extra paranoid; kudos on that statement making you think I'm a wolf))

Second, he had a Maloroy .gif ready to share that was hard to sit on (Phrasing!). Dying at night did come with the additional risk that he'd never share that declarative .gif .. .Be reasonable, it's hard to sit on that (Phrasing!).
This may come across as me being flippant or goofey, but really - it's about human nature. This builds credibility to his declaration that no mere wolf would ever embrace. Scoops the f-ing real deal here.

If I could drop anything random here, I would say this;
We play these games for fun. No village is actually at risk. The only thing I've gained from playing this game this long is to get over my expectations and remember - this is finger painting.
Scoop, you played it well, IMO.

(3rd)
So, then, slam time - - yeah.... Regarding:
You were very high on the suspect list and the bad guys still have some maintenance to do before killing you.
true enough.

Scoop, I highly doubt you were going to be killed tonight. However, there was NOT enough heat on El Guapo to warrant you to just accept that we would all eventually vote for him. I don't for a minute fault you. But you probably could have played it one more night free of charge, if ya follow.

Grund / Lassr is where I am now leaning for wolf #3 (if it's Vorret, I want to give him a win, I just think he's wiggled this all very well, if that were the case).

Obviously, I am totally onboard the "Scoop as good scanned El Guapo as evil" scenario, FWIW.
One thing that stood out to me this game that was annoying the living shit out of me was that Scoop had a horse in the game.
Scoop - sit on that better. :D

(Should Scoop be playing me here... I'm totally thrilled and relieved to have my "he must have a big head status" (Thank LM! :( ) degraded a bit.)

ALSO, I will point out that I was all over stessier, but was wrong... I'm as much a vacuous source as the rest of you. :ninja:

BTW wee stessier, I do seriously appogies for pressuring you to join this game. Clearly there was mild interest, don't let me pressure you again.

so, IMO either Lassr or Grund is now in trying to figure out how to pull this airplane out of a nose dive.

Let's see which one deflects that limelight the best

While I entirely support- I think you have a 40/60 chance to hit WOLF on Lassr. (60 being Lassr = wolf)

BUT - I am, as WE ALL, am thrilled to understand if Grund's brain is working for us or against us, and I am totally taken aback by his (undeclared) support of those I suspected.

Honestly, I just think we can work a concern vote against Lassr easier than we can a concern vote against Grund -- so I'd rather your clear/condemn Lassr.

Huh, well that's certainly an odd play by Scoop. I can only assume that he's Barry. I suppose the thinking must be that he can probably drive a lynch of me tomorrow. Then another night kill, then he would survive a lynch day 4, then night kill night 4. Would lead me to think that the third wolf is successfully flying entirely under the radar (otherwise it would be insane to put Barry out there like this). Also makes me suspect that they hit gold on their Cheryl scan - probably hit Lana I'm guessing, so they can confidently off her at will, so they don't have to worry about hitting protection (phrasing!).

Interesting, at least.

Not a bad choice, since even though he hasn't been cleared he's highly trusted by alot of us, but I'm pretty sure Scoop has his mind set on Grund/Lassr who also aren't bad choice (I'd pick Grund).

Random thoughts:

Triggercut died after one lynch. Not Barry. Has to be either Katya or Conway.
El Guapo scanned as evil. Not Conway. Has to be either Katya or Barry.

Best case scenario: El G dies in one swing then we know we got both Katya and Conway.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

FYI from the OP:
Changes to earlier game rules:
--Cheryl now has a one-time scan, usable day or night.
--Conway has lost his ability to hide from Malory's scan.

If scoop is indeed Mallory - I would suggest scanning from the following:

Moliere - fringe play
Lassr - not sure of
Grund - stess train

opinion on others

LM - probably good, but you never know
CR - probably good, but you never know
Vorret - feels like a solid canuck

NIGHT 2 RESULTS.

“This way! There he goes!” shouted Chaosraven to El Guapo, trailing behind. He’d caught a glimpse of shadow in the alley up ahead. Their quarry was close. Increasing his pace, he wished again that he hadn’t begun the evening with a briefcase of classified documents handcuffed to his wrist. It banged hard against his knee with every other step.

The alleys of Rome reflected the logic of Rome’s city planning, which is to say they made no sense at all. Chaosraven had long since lost his bearings, but as long as the running footsteps remained ahead of him, he knew the way to go.

The alley opened onto a wide plaza lit by cafes, streetlamps, and the headlights of Italian traffic making a speedway of the circling roundabout. Chaosraven waited at the outer curb, catching his breath and scanning the milling crowd for their target. It was ten p.m., and the plaza was full. Had they lost him?

El Guapo caught up with Chaosraven from behind. “Where is he?” he muttered under the din. “We’ll never catch him in this crowd.”

Chaosraven caught a glimpse and bolted across the street without a word back, weaving between Vespas. He pointed ahead with his free hand. El Guapo followed, cursing in two languages, neither of them local.

Grundbegriff stood leaning against a stone fountain, idly checking his messages. Chaosraven and El Guapo split up, approaching him from each side.

Simultaneously each grabbed an arm, so suddenly that their target nearly dropped the phone. “Well, you took your time!” he said, scowling. “These reservations are for ten sharp. Do you understand how hard it is to get into this place? And I had to bribe the maître d’, the valet, and two busboys just to get a table away from the kitchen.”

CRACK! In the flash of an instant a shot rang out, echoing across the plaza. Grundbegriff crumpled to the ground, his jacket a spreading bloodstain, his last words no doubt eloquent but lost in pavement. The crowd screamed in a hundred voices. Chaosraven and El Guapo ducked for cover behind the fountain.

“Damn it!” El Guapo blurted to Chaosraven, “We’ll never make that table now!”

My thought is maybe we did kill Katya with Triggercut so they didn't have a way to stop a protection of Malory. That or they used their one time protection block killing RMC. So the kill to Scoop would not go through because Scoop was most likely protected.
