Ubisoft Celebrates 30 Years with Free Games

Post by Max Peck »

Ubi 30
To celebrate Ubisoft's 30th anniversary, The Ubisoft Club is offering you seven digital PC games. Every month a new game will be revealed and free to download. Then its yours to keep!
Hurry up, the game is available for a limited time. Just register here with your Uplay account.
First up is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I have no idea if it is a good game, but free is free, so I gots to have it. :)

There doesn't seem to be a way to claim the free games from within the uPlay client, so it appears that you need to log onto the website to grab them as they trickle out.

System Memory:256 MB of RAM or above
Video Card: 64MB GeForce™ 3 , ATI® Radeon™ 8500, Matrox Parhelia™(GeForce 4 MX is not supported)
Heh. I am pretty sure my watch could run this.

It's an older game, but a great one at the time. I played the whole PoP series from Ubisoft and really enjoyed them all...pretty cool time manipulation mechanic that was unlike anything done before that time.

Thanks! I'm grabbing this now. This was the first platformer that I had to hand the controls to my daughter to so that I could make it past a certain area :) She'd been trained on Kim Possible so did it first try.

What happened to January - May? What kind of jacked-up seven-month years are these Frenchies trying to pass over on us, anyway?

Next up, on 13 July: Splinter Cell.

Also, they've added a Ubi 30 tab to the uplay client, so you can claim the free games from there without going to the website.

Bummer, I already have this on Steam. But I guess I could get it through Uplay for the sake of the Uclub points and whatnot.

For those who never tried it, it's a fun, very clever super-mod of Far Cry 3. Worth a few hours of playing just for the experience. And it's free of course.

Fun, funny game. Very satirical take on the 80s (games, toys, cartoons) done with a modern engine. Well worth the price!

The game is fantastic. I actually like the idea of having it on Origin, as I can offer to let my kids play it when I'm using Steam.

I understand that this game has an age rating which defines who the game’s content is suitable for. I recognize that my age matches this rating or that I obtained my parents approval before getting this game.

Yeah, their authentication service is down. I'm seeing speculation that it may be related to the servers being hammered by people trying to claim the free game. :)

You can now get every single game in the Ubisoft 30 promotion for free until the 18th. So if you missed any of them log into Uplay and hit the Ubi 30 button.
