$2982.

I think I have a problem...

$2488 on board and roleplaying games
$225 on computer and iPad games
$269 on miscellaneous stuff

I have about a half dozen of my backed games that I have never played.

Biggest regret is backing Up Front. And Airborne in your Pocket, but that one doesn't bother me as much as Up Front does, for some strange reason.

$79.

$60 to a band I know, $1 to Amanda Palmer for her last album. $10 for Werewolf, $8 for Rebuild: Gangs of Deadville (which is going beta in May).

Unfulfilled Board/Card games ($239):
Hero Realms, a Deckbuilding Adventure Card Game $82.00
Fugitive $20.00
Evolution: CLIMATE (a stand-alone boardgame) $30.00
The Apocrypha Adventure Card Game $107.00

Unfulfilled Computer games ($40):
Torment: Tides of Numenera $20.00
Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption by the Quest for Glory designers $20.00

Unfulfilled Board/Card games:
The Duchess - A Gaming Table from BoardGameTables.com $858.00

I have gotten MUCH better at avoiding kickstarter. The table really messes up the amount spent, but that's a special case. Excluding that, only $132 spent this year. I hope to get something for Mercs: Recon that should counter that at least a bit. My expectations are low though. :(

I posted this elsewhere not too long ago, but I guess it belongs here:

Kickstarters Received:

To Be or Nor to Be: That is the the Adventure - (Book) Ryan North's choose-your-own-adventure version of Hamlet. Really funny, dense, and well done.
The Guns of Gettysburg - (tabletop) Excellent ACW wargame from the brilliant designer of Napoleon's Triumph.
Darkest Dungeon - (PC) You've played it, you love it. The art and style are top notch.
Night Witches - (tabletop) Narrative WW2-Soviet-Feminist RPG from the designer of Fiasco.
Twilight Struggle - (PC and iOS) Electronic implementation of the political boardgame.
Secret Hitler - (tabletop) Werewolf in the Reichstag.

Not Yet Released:

Stonehearth - (PC) Minecraft meets Dwarf Fortress Lite? Could be good, but now it's looong overdue.
That Which Sleeps - (PC) 4x-ish strategy as an evil elder god. Project dragging, probably collapsing.
Battletech - (PC) Turn-based strategy in the classic Battletech universe. Previews look great.

Outrageous Offenses:

Up Front - (tabletop) I got scammed for $125. Perpetrator still at large.
(The new print-on-demand edition of UF from WargameVault isn't connected to this Kickstarter.)

I've been careful about what I back, but I don't see many must-haves, at least not within my budget.

My sister, meanwhile, is up to like 413 projects.
Much prefer my Nazis Nuremberged.

Thank God I'm not the only rube that bit on that. Now I read the initially infuriating, but now hilarious updates with mostly just curiosity and admiration at the size of the balls that it must take to write what they do.

Nov 20, 2012. Is that not a record of some kind? :P At this point, it really is just entertainment to read the mass quantities of BS that they spew in their updates.

We are approaching the 4 year anniversary of my backing a game called "Storm Hollow", and they still haven't delivered. It appears that they are still working on it, based on an email I got today (just found a printer! Hooray!) I originally backed this as a gateway game to D&D for my younger kids. Now I'm getting ready to run them and some friends through a 5E campaign (Storm Kings Thunder), so it's just a tad late for my needs.

So that's the longest I've gone without a game being delivered. If you don't count Airborne In Your Pocket, which I'll never get.

This weekend was the four year anniversary of the funding of the Hero-U kickstarter. I hear it will release next year!

According to an update I got yesterday, I should be getting Gloomhaven next week. Though I haven't gotten the shipping notice yet, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I consider the unintentionally hilarious updates to have been worth my $20 at this point. I can only imagine what kind of hodge podge, disaster of a game, if it even materializes, it will look like. I've lost count of the designers and programmers they have gone through at this point.

Decided to update my list today, for kicks.

Updated list (2/14/17):

Fulfilled:
Dungeon Roll
Krosmaster Arena (and now sold on eBay)
Small World 2
Zombicide Season 2
Buccaneer Bones
Galaxy Defenders (Sold)
Myth (And sold)
Wrath of Kings (just the two Zombicide characters)
Monsters & Maidens
Dungeon Roll Winter promo pack
Burgoo
Templar Intrigue
Tiny Epic Kingdom
Ultimate Werewolf Deluxe Edition
This town aint big enough for the 2-4 of us
Coin Age
Mercs: Recon (Sold and gone)
Galaxy Defenders: The earth strikes back (Sold)
Eminent Domain: Microcosm
Tiny Epic Galaxies
Mare Nostrum
Zombicide: Black Plague (Sold)
Fields of Green
Tiny Epic Western
Pyramid Arcade

Partially Fulfilled:
None

Still waiting on but on time:
Railways of the World: Railways of Nippon
Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black
Tiny Epic Quest

Waiting on and Delayed:
Yokohama Deluxe
Outlive

Soon to be waiting on:
Tortuga 1667

My hit percentage has been improving, likely from being much more selective about what I am backing, and because I am avoiding (for the most part) big miniature games that end up costing a lot more than I want them to and it turns out I rarely actually enjoy as much as I think I would.

Well, today marked the fulfillment of my longest outstanding kickstarter game (not including Airborne in Your Pocket...we'll see if we get anything from the new publisher. ). Today I finally got Storm Hollow, a game that funded almost 5 years ago, in October 2012.
