Of course the 5 convicts can make it easier, just come on out and tell us which ones you are.

We'll handle the rest from there.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

Humans
- Marine Guard01 (pocket incinerator gun - one shot - During Day)
- Marine Guard02 (pocket incinerator gun - one shot - During Day)
- Engineer01 (can disengage a cryo pod's lockdown mode)
- Engineer02 (can disengage a cryo pod's lockdown mode)
- Computer Hacker (Can decrypt cryo pod medical report (reveals role, host human, symbiont or alien) from main computer once per Course Correction)
- Convict01
- Convict02
- Convict03
- Convict04
- Convict05

Divergent Corp.
- Symbiont (can engage a cryo pod's lockdown mode during course correction; immune and will survive an alien implant attempt)

Alien Organism
- Alien Organism (ability to to kill or implant an alien egg )
So it's 6 - 4 - 2: prisoners & hacker - employees - inhumans.

I think it'n in almost everyone's best interest to take care of the inhumans first.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Yeah, if we somehow manage to kill the Alien early it would make is much much easier for us to win if we accept the fact that someone was infected on N1.

Come on, let us be lucky.

Without Engineers, the voting and 2 shots would be needed to avoid the Symbiont win.
I fail to see how engineers change the outcome ?
Engineer UNLOCK.

Symbi needs to have LOCKED a specimen.

With no Engineers, the Specimens remain locked.
We have one vote per day.
Symbiont locks down one per day.
True but if they locked a specimen then we also know it's a specimen and we can kill it or vote it off.
Other than being able to talk I don't really see why we'd need the engineers... but maybe I'm just confused too.

Chaosraven, you're basically claiming to be an Engineer or a Marine, and it feels very forced. With one Marine out in the open, why would you pull a Day One reveal?

Right now I'm pointing my gun at CR. Should I pull the trigger?

If he's a eng/marine, he's on your team, and you're helping the convicts take over the ship. If he's not, you're furthering someone's goals. Hopefully for you, it's yours.

That's how I took it, but I guess it is probably wise to ask to make sure.

Scoop, does the hacker report show us if the person is infected or not? Can the person be infected the same night they are scanned by the hacker and will it show up on the report in the morning?
scoop20906 wrote:The medical report will reveal if that player is a role, host human, symbiont or alien.

The hacker's scan goes last. If the player was infected that night they will show up on the hacker scan as host human.

Scenarios:

Alien dead, Infected Host alive and Unlocked.

Alien alive, LOCKED, but Infect Host alive and Unlocked.

Alien alive UNLOCKED, but Infect Host alive and LOCKED

Who wins? In scenarios 2 and 3 Symbiont has a Specimen.
Do all living Alien Plus living Infected need to be Unlocked for an Alien win?
Scenario One has a Dead Alien, but Infected alive.

And again, do Infected win with Alien or just fulfill Victory Condition?
The alien wins no matter what if he arrives at earth and is able to infect the planet. Game over! Host/Infected Humans win with the alien although they won't be aware of it until the game ends.
rulez wrote:Alien Victory: Alien organism wins if it and/or a human host is alive and not locked down in its cryo pod when the STARSHIP arrives at earth.
The symbiont has his orders. All other orders are rescinded.
rulez wrote:Divergent Corp Victory: The alien organism and/or at least one host human is locked down in its cryo pod at the end of 6 course corrections. The Symbiont does not need to be alive to win.
So, its a Pyrrhic victory for the symbiont because even though he fulfills his orders all life on earth is doomed. Is this a victory? Only the symbiont can answer that.

The Symbiont is also counted for nonconvict team. Even so, that faction is outnumbered by the convicts.

I make no claim. Perhaps I am siding with you in public to avoid being shot.

Holman backs himself into a corner and pulls out his pocket flamethrower and "BACK OFF BACK OFF!"

"Now hold on, Holman. There is no need to be hasty. We still have a long way to Earth." Grundbegriff said and inched towards Holman.

"Screw that. None of us are making it if we don't kill the alien now. Well, I'm not waiting for the alien to infect me." screamed Holman.

"Ok, fine but you can only shot that thing once. Who are you going to shoot?" asked El Guapo.

"You all look blue to me. What if you are all infected." responded Holman.

"Look, this isn't how we should be acting. Maybe we need to negotiate with the alien. Maybe we can work out a dead. Win-Win, right? Maybe we want to get in on the ground floor with our new overlords." reasoned chaosraven.

"Oh yeah. Thats just what it wants us to do. BS, you are dead Chaosraven!!"

Wow. So now this game is completely on its end. It's convicts vs personell.

The symbiont wants to lock down as many players as possible, which means he wants to kill the Engineers. Which means he is on the Convict team.

Convicts:
5 Convicts.
1 Hacker.
The road to victory for the convicts is to outnumber the Marine and Engineers. Since they already outnumber the personell 2 to 1, they will come forward and lynch Holman.

Personell:
1 Marine, with gun (may not be used today)
2 Engineers
They will try to masquerade as convicts and hope to kill the Hacker, since the Hacker can reveal their roles (and the hacker also counts as a convict).

Symbiont:
1 Symbiont
The symbiont have a very slim chance of winning, but needs to masquerade as a convict and get rid of at least one Engineer, and kill (or lock) the other, then the Hacker (who may reveal the infected), then lock down as many as possible in the hopes of finding the infected human.

I assume your partner will now be coming forward to shoot one of the convicts. Interesting that people come forward so quickly to basically announce themselves as uninterested in even making a false effort to find a possible host. What does that say about Lagom?

Is there any way to find a host other than a lucky scan?

Even the host doesn't know, so no one can give it away even inadvertently.

The other marine would be smart to stay hidden. Hopefully scans will hit only convicts, and there will be enough confusion (plus one kill) to help with the odds.

Doesn't look good, though.

Wow! Great job Holman! Eliminating the Alien after he has had the chance to infect only one person is awesome.

Now that gives us a few concrete facts to work with.

1. Holman cannot be infected (Hacker scan)
2. RW cannot be infected (Pod locked)
3. Someone was infected last night unless CR targeted RW
4. There is a max of one host left on board for the rest of the game

So now it comes down to who would CR try to infect. Would it be one of the Detroit crew because it would amuse him, or would it be someone that would fly under the radar and make it to the end in most games. Well we know Remus can't have been infected, so the next most likely target of the Detroit crew would be me. CR is a strategic gamer and I think he would go for someone that is going to be around to the end. RW and I most likely won't make it to the end, we don't typically in games, so we probably wouldn't be as high of priority. Looking at the list, Isgrimnur, El Guapo and Moliere most likely to fit that bill. So in the interest of trying to eliminate the alien threat early...

 El Guapo

BTW, Holman was an excellent choice for the hacker scan as I would have him on my short list of those that could make it to the end as well. Take note of El Guapo, Isgrimnur and Moliere, Mr. Hacker.

Check Lagom Lite's math the Convicts basically have run of the ship since the Alien is dead. Also, trying to find the host is pointless, imo, unless we get hit with a lucky scan, so we play the cards dealt. Convicts & Android get rid of the COs and let the chips fall where they may....
