OK Who's NOT playing Tooth and Tail?

:)

The soundtrack is so awesome! I'd advise a controller though the K&B interface is passable but not great.

RTS, that's a hard sell for me. Looks nice though.

+1 Starcraft was the last RTS I got in to. And I wasn't particularly good at it. I think I've purchased two or three since then and nothing...

But I like the art direction from the link. It's very 1960s children story or perhaps the cartoon version of Watership Down in feeling.

I guess I’m in the minority but I find the graphics style of this one to be a major turn off. It’s a little disappointing because gameplay wise, the game looks right up my alley. I’m just sick of pixel style graphics. I wish they had gone with the whole painted style of their static graphics.

Hard sell for me as well (modern RTS), but I noted a few comments about how inexperienced players would like this 'distilled' style of RTS. Add in a supposedly interesting campaign/story mode? Definitely in once I see a couple of reviews, if they are also positive.

I am getting a little burned out on retro pixel graphics though. For someone who spent hours and $$ trying to tweak hardware and software to tweak out every ounce of power and graphical beauty, for decades, it's almost an insult! :P

If someone had told me back in the mid 90's(?) that 80% of PC games in 2017 were being developed using pixel graphics, as I was saving money to buy an uber expensive 3dfx daughter card, I might have punched them.

Looked at the selling points and game mechanisms, immediately thought of Kohan, and would rather play that. That game rocked!
Sims 3 and signature unclear.

It's like Kohan in that there's little to no Actions Per Minute involved like Starcraft, which is what drew me to it. I also really liked this video review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y6CNiQziMo.

I've got it on my Wishlist but I'm going to probably wait for some more reviews and a sale.

Darn, I just checked and it doesn't look like there's much hope for the developer porting it to the Switch. Seems like it could be a pretty good fit.

Another RTS hater here. I can count the number of RTS games that I actually enjoyed on one hand (with fingers left over) and none of those were traditional RTS in one or more ways.

It was said in jest of course, naturally a ton of people aren't playing Tooth and Tail but it's a cute game that like I said, harkens back to Kohan.

I had never heard of Tooth and Tail until I saw its title in this thread. Based on this video, it looks entertaining.

Thanks for the heads-up. I will probably purchase Tooth and Tail eventually.

Nice article on how accessible this game is

I only play single player so if no one but me is playing the game, that's fine :) Just wanted to draw attention to what I think is a very very good Think-Outside-the-Box RTS.

Words like "streamlined" and "accessible" generally send me running away from a game.

I do like the theme and visuals, though. They should probably not call it 'Real Time Strategy' and instead maybe a new tag of 'Casual Strategic Combat' or something.

Don't mind the grumps. ;) You and the video overviews sold me on the game.

Am not playing, but definitely will give it a shot with a decent discount, unless it turns out to be the holy grail for old, whiny PC gamers who think Age of Empires/Dune/Command and Conquer and the various Warcrafts were the last of the great RTSs (that would be me). If that turns out to be the case, instant buy for me :P

Tooth and Tail looks really good, and I'll probably pick it up on PS4. I just have to get through the new XCOM expansion, my latest King of Dragon Pass game, Pyre, Warhammer 2 later this month...
