Exactly, they used the guy's speed and mobility against the prevent. Use your receivers to pull the defense back for the Hail Mary and then get a guy like that into open space and let him outmaneuver and outrun everybody as they try to adjust.gameoverman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2017 10:47 pm That KC guy is lightning fast. I think unless a team has a guy like that, this kind of play won't work. I think most teams have a better shot with the hail mary play, since just about any receiver can jump for the ball.

So is this U.S.A outerwear plastered with American flags and camo an attempt to get ratings back? I also noticed the NFLPA ads touting the armed forces.

They do it every year but this year seemed like 11. They had "U.S.A." in the back of every jacket, it looked like the Olympics it something.
Maybe Stess and CL are right but I just remember camo logos and numbers. Not all these flag patches.

Even a blind pig...
Wentz is playing well. The defense is playing well. They've played some really bad teams (NYG, ARI, SF, DEN). Their remaining schedule:
DAL, CHI, SEA, LAR, NYG, OAK, DAL
If Elliot is suspended, DAL isn't quite the measuring stick they look like now. SEA and LAR should be good tests though. Who knows which OAK team will show up. The Eagles should roll CHI and NYG.
Isn't the NFL fun when your team is winning though? I mean, your stadium operator ran out of fireworks and had nothing to celebrate the end of the game because of all the scoring!

Holy cow - AJ Green is not suspended, but Mike Evans is. Actually, Mike Evans is the only player suspended (1 game) from all the fights this weekend. That is ridiculous! Green threw punches! Granted, they were against a player's helmet, but still!

Yes, but Mike Evans totally blindsided a dude, and then threw punches. I’m shocked that AJ Green wasn’t suspended though.

Re: 2017 NFL Week 10
Green put him in a chokehold and slammed him twice - while punching in between. And all because of a shove (and perhaps some words).
Mike Evans blew someone up from behind to protect his quarterback. He didn't get a chance to throw a punch, although it looks like he was going to try.
Green's was worse. If Evans is only out because he was ejected, then suspend him for however many quarters were left in the game. Penalizing him more (he's going to lose a full game check) because the refs didn't agree with the league office isn't fair.

Re: 2017 NFL Week 10
I didn't see the third fight (Cards/49ers), but I think that Mike Evans should be suspended for one game. I don't care that AJ Green was ejected - I think that he deserved *at least* a one game suspension. He became absolutely unhinged - delivering multiple punches, choke holds, a take down and more punches.
Evans blindsided a player that did nothing to him. And yeah, the player pushed his QB, but his QB started it - like a goon. I'd fine the shit out of Winston too.
Of course, I say all of this not knowing if there are NFL/NFLPA rules regarding this sort of thing.

I'd be fine with fining Winston - he was definitely asking for it. Saying that the guy did nothing to Evans is true but there is a proud history of protecting your QB...even when he's acting like a 5 year old. I maintain whatever Evans gets, Green should get double.RunningMn9 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2017 1:07 pmEvans blindsided a player that did nothing to him. Lolz:
The New England Patriots projected to receive a 2018 fourth round compensatory pick when tight end Martellus Bennett signed a 3-year, $21 million contract with the Green Bay Packers in free agency. That pick is now in jeopardy since the Packers released Bennett prior to the week 10 deadline.
...
But the rule is that players must remain on the roster through week 10 of the upcoming season in order for them to count in the compensatory math. So this means that the Packers cut Bennett right before week 10 on purpose.

Re: 2017 NFL Week 10
If a team claims Bennett off waivers, then that team is responsible for the fourth round compensatory pick, limiting the number of teams that might be willing to claim him. In other words, only teams that don’t have a fourth or fifth round pick at stake should be willing to add Bennett. There are a few, like Washington or Jacksonville, but the pool of possible teams are smaller.
And so that’s why I think the Patriots should put in a claim on Bennett, if they think he has any value left as a player. If a team before the Patriots in the waiver claim gets Bennett, so be it, and New England keeps their compensatory draft pick. If Bennett falls to the Patriots, then, hey, the Patriots just boosted their offense with a talented tight end.
