Thought they only did cards for Xmas/Summer. Not Thanksgiving, Halloween, or whatever they might do late winter/spring.

I missed this note that was attached to the sale:
This is your last chance to buy Deadpool on Steam- the game will be retired from the store on November 16th.

Is anyone willing to comment on Steel Division? I'm really torn... I like the time period for such a game better than Red Dragon or ALB (both of which I own but haven't played), but a plethora of negative reviews suggesting balancing efforts have made the game more bland and homogenous.
Sims 3 and signature unclear.

Remember, if you're not going to play it in the next 30 days, wait until the sale repeats in a month. Save your money!

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Valve is trying to fire sale the Steam Link devices, it seems:
Steam's own store joined GameStop by offering a huge sale on the Steam Link.
The deal is $5 plus about $8 shipping ($13). Shipping fee appears during checkout.
Steam Link sends your home PC's video to your living room TV, and works with Bluetooth controllers. So, you can turn your PC into a gaming console. If you don't want to spend hundreds on a game console system (like Playstation or XBox), and already have a PC capable of playing games, this can be a hot deal for you. Some configuration/setup will be required.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
If they don't want them, neither do I. Of course, it also helps that I need to wire the house with network cable before it's a reasonable alternative for any game that requires twitch timing.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
It's a cool enough device but over wireless it sucks regardless of the game.

FWIW, I've got mine on wireless and not seeing anything I'd label as "sucks" yet. I do have the option to try it via Ethernet but haven't seen a need to yet, may switch it over this weekend to see how much difference it makes. Currently using it to play Hand of Fate 2 which I guess falls into the "twitch timing" category?

Looking into the Steam Link I found this:
I don't have a wireless controller for it, but confirmed it was there on my bedroom TV. The wife wasn't amused.AUGUST 17
Steam Link app now available on Samsung Smart TV!
Samsung has released a free Steam Link app for their 2016 and 2017 Smart TVs.

Well, YMMV but my wifi router also sucks.MonkeyFinger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:48 am FWIW, I've got mine on wireless and not seeing anything I'd label as "sucks" yet. Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I tried it with both wireless and wired connections. It really depends on almost too many factors to list whether or not WiFi would be acceptable or not.
I will say in some cases it worked surprisingly well, but totally unplayable in others.
5Ghz band helps (Link supports AC so if you have a relatively new, good AC router, that’s likely a huge factor)

if one has a HTPC in a different room, I wouldn't need the link correct? I could stream my main pc that has steam to my htpc right?

Thanksgiving sale so far: bought 3, returned 2.
