Pretty much!
It's 109 first team All-Americans.
It's a college football record 61 bowl appearances.
It's 34 bowl victories.
It's 24 Southeastern Conference Championships.
It's 15 National Championships.

At some places they play football. At Alabama we live it.

I think it would be fun to be the Imperial Officer in the 501st and would let my outfit get wrinkly and have a random mustard stain.

Exactly my thoughts. Wearing it around I was thinking exactly that.

I've been advised by other troopers that I should wear it around the house a bit and identify the rub spots and do some very subtle trimming. This will help my mobility, etc.

I figured you've been wearing it constantly since the day it arrived. No?

I have a premium Batman costume that I wear for halloween most years, but man is it hot and uncomfortable. I hope yours is better.

Yes. Terrible visibility. You also kinda need a handler to put it on, but it can be done solo if you don't have one. Not ideal though.

That's the same thing I was told years and years ago when I was looking to get plate armor. Live in it for a week and fighting in it will be a hundred times easier.

Is there some explanation for the TD-92698 designation? Or is it just gibberish? Im guessing with a group like 501st it means something.

He should check it regularly. If Scooby Doo has taught me nothing else, it's that one minute armor will be empty, and the next a baddie will be hiding in it.

My wife has a suit of scout armor on a dress makers dummy as she's been working on her scout trooper costume, and I can't count the number of times my heart has stopped as I walk past her sewing room at night and the armor gets silhouetted in the light.

Well.... I did some modifications to the armor and Field Pack. This morning I qualified for Deployed Police Officer status in the Mos Eisley Police Department (MEPD) detachment of the 501st.

The way it works is this: the 501st has a set of requirements to make sure people who represent them have a certain level of quality and accuracy to their armor/costumes. The various genres of costume each have a 'Detachment'. MEPD is the Sand Trooper detachment. White Armor is the regular Stormtrooper detachment. There is one for Tie Pilots, Spec Ops (like in Rogue One), etc.

Anyway... the detachments each have additional accuracy requirements for ranking up. In the MEPD there is '501st approved Sandtrooper', then the 2nd Rank is 'Deployed Police Officer'. And the highest requirements (there are only 50 or so in existence) is the SWAT level. SWAT takes it to the extreme by having you emulate/replicate specific on-screen troopers down to field repairs of their prop field packs and the weathering patterning on their armor.

PO is still a great accomplishment as everything has to be up to screen quality standards, though not emulating a specific on-screen trooper.

I've signed up for some charity events in the coming weeks. :)

Well I went on my first public outing. It wasn't an official 'troop' for charity, but it was good practice walking around in the armor and getting used to it. Iron City Cosplay Day is where a bunch of photographers come to Sloss Furnace in Birmingham and they take cosplay pictures for free. The entry fees go to Sloss as a fundraiser.
