3030 Deathwar redux
Thought Id toss out a heads up on this. I have had it on my wishlist a while and now that its on sale Im balking because I know nothing about it. It looks liek a cross between an adventure game and a space game called VoidExpanse. Any info from one of our own?

Never heard of it but I plan on wishlisting it for a year, buying it during a sale, then playing it for half an hour or so in about three years.
Thanks for the heads up!

I dunno. I mean, if it sux before, then surely resux would be a red flag?

It's almost as if people are the problem.

Played about ten-15 mins last night. Basically the intro and where you get to the first space station. Did a little salvaging, flew my ship i nthe overhead to the station and then walked around and talked to few folks. Quick hits below but will play more tonight.
-music so far is worth the price of admission.
----title screen music was some twangy banjo thing.
----then had some popppy syntho song, female singer had great voice. Cheesy but catchy
----then had some funky/reggaeish song playing in first station
----10 minutes of play and three totally different songs all well done.
-graphics
----solid retro look, well done if your into
that thing
-UI
----yea, it's bit indie devolperish? Best way to describe it Not very slick, may take some getting used to but shouldn't be a huge detergent.
-writing
----was cheesy which seems to be the theme. did giggle a couple times so the humor works so far. It's self aware it's a game and pokes fun at tropes without being obvious. Very ealry though, well see how it holds up. Only had two extended dialogues.
--In Short:
Will boot it up again!
More to come but so far I'm intrigued enough to play more and listen to the soundtrack.

Played a bit. The space portion really reminds me of VoidExpanse....another space game that looks and plays like that and I love it. The side scrolling salvage and station stuff Ill get used to I think. Having fun so far.

I got a ways into the storyline. Keep in mind the game and story will move along without you, so if someone tells you you need to do something "soon", you really need to do it soon.
There is no hug button. Sad!

I bought this during a recent sale and spent a good few hours with it yesterday. Really am enjoying it and getting big time Escape Velocity vibes.
