Enjoy the sale, and make sure you look at the mini game if you want your three free cards per day and a chance to win some shovelware free games.

I believe you also get free cards for viewing your queue, so that's ~6 cards a day (should be somewhere around $0.36 a day, or a little over $4 to be a monkey. I will be a monkey for $4, thanks.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Steam server is getting hit hard. I can't login through the web, and the steam client itself is having problems pulling up my wishlist.
EDIT: it just came up, wow, there's some simpler games down to like a few bucks. And JC3 is down to like... Hahaha.

I tried but the viability was wonky and I don't trust the process. I think I will just wait until I get home and just buy $30 worth of games for $25.Jag wrote: ↑Thu Jun 21, 2018 7:23 pm $5 off $30 on Paypal. I used this method to add $30 to my steam wallet for $25.
Thanks for the link.
So I'm thinking Urban Empires down to $7.49. Worth it? TGB certified potential GotY and then talked about again Space Tyrant $9.99. Worth it? I'm also thinking DLC for Reknowned Explorerers and Stellaris and CKII, though I don't know which of what to get.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I just put $30 of stuff in my cart and then bought it. Steam didn't indicate that there was a discount, but then the emailed Paypal receipt showed it. It also looks like the discount is only for the first 40K people to claim it (save it, not use it), so get moving.
I have but one advocate.

I already saved it. Maybe I'll just go ahead and make purchases now via web instead of waiting to get home and decide based on my library and how I feel then.JetFred wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:45 am I just put $30 of stuff in my cart and then bought it. And I am weak
Stellaris: Leviathans Story Pack
Stellaris: Utopia
Space Tyrant
Abbey Games Bundle: Includes 2 items: Renowned Explorers: More To Explore, Renowned Explorers: The Emperor's Challenge
$26.55 after discount.
I guess I've been looking for a reason to get back to Stellaris since the beta

Spent a few hours with Slay the Spire after picking it up during the sale. Fun. Immolation and Whirlwind make me happy.
Also picked up Age of Gladiators II. I loved the first one and this definitely takes the simulation to the next level...as well as into space.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
ICY: Frostbite Edition -85% and there is a demo if you'd prefer to give it a test run.
Tagged as RPG | Interactive | Survival, it (apparently) is a complete remastering of ICY which was met with mixed reviews. The developers took the feedback to heart and revamped the game.
The atmosphere is great and the dialogue choices at the very least give the impression of meaningful choices. Battle is turn-based for each party; individuals do not attack. This means that, based on selected weapons and individual capabilities, different attacks and combos are available. Combining those combos (up to 4) determines the action. For example, an arrow attack icon plus a wall icon results in an attack from cover. There are also combos that don't attack but buff/heal. A lack of skill or weapons results in less attacks/buffs per round.
Towns have shops and quest-givers; moving around the map has a chance of encounters. Your RPG stats set your odds of having to fight or sneak away with the loot.
Would definitely recommend at this bargain price. It's enjoyable enough to tear me away from PoE, if only for a couple of nights.

No manual or guides that I could find so you have to figure things out on your own, though the beginning is presented as a tutorial.ICY is a narrative-driven post-apocalyptic survival RPG set in a new Ice Age, where your life and the lives of your followers depend on every decision you make. Create your own character, using a detailed stat system that influences your abilities to hunt, travel, scavenge, communicate and lead, then begin a journey of survival across the White Wasteland.
It is up to you to take on the responsibilities of leadership and guide your newfound nomad family in their fight for survival. Do not take your role lightly, for each decision you make, each word you speak, ripples through the life of your community.
Take heed, for you and your clan are not alone in this frozen world. In addition to the elements and the wildlife you encounter, there will be loners and bands of miscreants to deal with. Decide carefully on whom to trust and how to react or the snow covered landscape will become your icy tomb.

I figured for $2 I couldn't go wrong so I took the ICY plunge. So far I love it. Who'd have thought, I love adventure games!

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I picked up the DLC for Project Highrise, which I keep telling myself I'm going to get back into someday.
And I picked up the latest DLC for Crusader Kings II, which I keep telling myself I'm going to get back into someday... wait
I got PC Building Simulator, still in Early Access and therefore violating my oath to never buy a game until official release, but I'm weak
I'm still eyeing Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 and it's DLC in a bundle, but I might pass on that.

Bought Cat Goes Fishing. First and only Summer Sale thing I got.
Is Steam slow for others? I sometimes have to wait 20 sec for it to move to the link I click or I have to multi click the same link over and over to get it loaded.

Mine kept hanging/erring trying to do the Discovery queues. I had to periodically kill Steam and restart. Other times it was just laggy. So, yeah, it was pretty bad for me.
