Conan Unconquered ...strategy

Post by Daehawk »

Perhaps the Total War type of game? Or more like C&C perhaps with base / town building?

Build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes in this strategy game set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. Developed by the Command & Conquer veterans at Petroglyph.

Hmm, at this scale it looks like players are going to have to push their schlong-slider way over to the right.
Sims 3 and signature unclear.

Conan Unconquered is a strategy game set in the barbaric world of Conan the Barbarian where you must build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes of Hyboria. Wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies will rush at your gates and you will need to manage resources, research new technologies to advance your defenses, and recruit an ever-growing army if you are to save survive utter destruction.
...
Similar to games such as They Are Billions, the enemy hordes will keep coming at you and how long you can resist the invasion depends entirely on your ability to build your stronghold and lead your army. Gameplay is real-time, but you can also pause at any time to issue commands and start construction of new buildings. Battles will be bloody and savage with players having to deal with anything from fires raging through their stronghold to piles of corpses spreading death and disease.
That does not sound appealing to me.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Will I be able to get into fights so intense my pants fly off? If not, will it eventually be a DLC?

Buttless flyaway chaps is this game's horse armor.
Black lives matter!

Careful. You’ll summon Lawbeef to explain why chaps are always assless so it’s redundant to call them butless/assless. I believe he’s even held a TED talk on the subject at one point.

Hmm, I'll give this a look for Conan's sake, but Petroglyph being involved gives me pause... they peaked with Empire at War and have been going steadily downhill ever since IMO.

It isn't on my list, but I won't discount it based only on that description. If it is implemented well it could be fun. It doesn't sound too different from say, Orcs Must Die.
