GTA V is also on sale for $15. I believe this is the cheapest it's been on Steam. I think I paid a little less than $20 for it during the Fall sale recently.

This is the first time I can recall that neither the holiday badge or trading cards were available ahead of the impending sale. I wonder if something different is on tap...

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I didn't notice because I didn't craft a badge as close to the sale. Or did I? Maybe the last one I crafted should have dropped a card and I didn't really think about it. Well, we'll know in 5 minutes. Or an hour or so, after all the broken sorts itself out.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I always craft badges around holiday sale times now - to get the free holiday trading cards for doing so. Crafting badges during some random week in September or February isn't worth it (unless you're feeling luck with coupon drop). Selling cards ahead of the incoming sale usually gets you a few pennies more than when you try once it begins. Volume trader 4 life.

This time appears to be clicking on an advent calendar to get drops. I got an emote and a wallpaper specific to Steam Awards 2018. Hmmm.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Amusingly, they appeared to "start" the sale without actually applying all of the discounts. First I looked the main page's "deals" had no discounts. Slowly, they are being refreshed to have discounts.
I checked my wish list after the sale "started" and zero of my items were on sale. A few minutes later, 1 was on sale. At last check 2 were on sale.
Funny.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe discounts in the wish list for at least an hour.

Okay, there are still cards for clicking through your queue and voting, except this time you appear to be able to do all the voting at once.
There's also some sort of "wearable" (consumable) items to level up the Knick-Knack Collector badge. Like the advent calendar dropping socks to wear.

God help me I'm kind of considering Jurassic World: Evolution for $13. The recent reviews are Mostly Positive, and reading through some it sounds like the devs have improved the game a great deal since the "meh" launch.

Yeah that price has me closing to pulling the trigger. I did buy(complete) The Handsome Collection to pick up Borderlands the Pre-Sequel for less than the game alone... and then again for my kids since the 12yo and I play Borderlands together. Also, upon doing my daily Discovery Queues, added an early access furry porn game to my wishlist. Call me curious.YellowKing wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 4:06 pm God help me I'm kind of considering Jurassic World: Evolution for $13. You aren't allowed to buy other games. You might start playing them... and then we will NEVER get those XCOM2 impressions!coopasonic wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 5:33 pmYeah that price has me closing to pulling the trigger. Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Ah, the Steam Sale is on.... time to take my usual approach. I break down my wishlist into two categories.
1) Games I think I really care about, but just wasn't willing to pull the trigger unless I got some kind of a discount.
2) Games I'm really kind of "meh" about, but if there is a strong discount, well, it's less than the price of lunch, right? You know, like Children of a Dead Earth, "The most scientifically accurate space warfare simulator ever made. Now with Steam Workshop! "

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Ive watched it since it was first announced. Ive not kept up on negative stuff about it. Still looks good to me. Its the only game based on the movie that I think is good. I still enjoy the lets play videos on YouTube. its a great price and I doubt you'll ever see it lower. Well at least in the next few decades.YellowKing wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 4:06 pm God help me I'm kind of considering Jurassic World: Evolution for $13. So annoying that the Fallout DLC Nuka-World and Far Harbor continue to be only 40% off. It's been 2 1/2 years!

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Got my steam winter sale wishlist sale list and I'm unimpressed. These sales are 100% weaker than their normal cycle of sales for items on my wishlist. This will be the first wintersale I take a total pass in a number of years unless something comes up I wasn't expecting to take advantage of.

Thanks! That might be the best solution if I want to play these in the next 12 months.

Yes, when I looked this morning everything on my wishlist was on sale. Looks about the same as the Autumn Sale. Planet Coaster is cheaper than I remember, but that's the kind of game I need to drop to like $5 before I will consider it.

That game is really taxing on low PC specs, just so you know.
