Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
So I played a couple of hours of JURASSIC WORLD: EVOLUTION and it's pretty fun. Would not have wanted to have paid full retail for it, but for $13 it's entertaining enough. I can understand some of the complaints about how a lot of time is spent waiting around while you research fossils and the like, but I keep myself plenty busy by tweaking fence enclosures and modifying terrain.
Also picked up the digital version of SCYTHE for $10. I own the board game and the Rise of Fenris expansion, but I'm TERRIBLE at it. I figured the digital version would give me a way to practice without all the hassle of setting up the physical copy.

I wishlisted Scythe. Perhaps I should pick it up so you can hone your limited skills on my nonexistent skills.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider for $23.76 on Green Man Gaming (with GMG12 coupon) seems to be the best deal I've noticed so far. Haven't looked to hard, but at that price it's going to be hard to resist.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

I'm wondering if its bugged. I was one, then it told me I wasn't and then the next time I checked there I was a VIP again.

A kindly X-mas elf gifted this to me and you wouldn't be disappointed. I'm constantly dying. I'm stuck in the ship's hold with that double iron ball dude and while I know what I have to do I have yet to be able to do it.coopasonic wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 10:39 am Jurassic World Evolution for $22 was as close as I came to buying anything on the sale. Actually Nioh for $25 for GreenGoo might have come even closer because I liked watching him suffer through The Surge and I think Nioh is better (even if you can't chop off body parts!)
I just don't need more games. I already have nothing to tell my family I want for Christmas.
It is a great game.

Yeah that ship's hold is a pretty rough first real test.

I'm still not seeing anything that's making me want to buy. Probably as the sale gets closer to ending I'll panic and grab something then regret it

Still doing wacky things with bundles. Subnautica by itself was ~$19 but if I purchased as part of the "Intrepid Explorer's Bundle", it was only $15 - because I already own the other game included. So...always check.

Yup, finishing the Handsome Collection was significantly cheaper than Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for me (and for my son's account as well). The kid loves stealing loot from dad and since I am usually sniping he is always closer to the loot. I have to play solo sometimes so I can get some upgrades.

Quick question. Save me from having to pay attention please.
Any reason not to consume the knick-knacks? No harm in immediately consuming them the moment you get them, is there?

I don't know but I can''t do anything with it. I try unpacking and it just gives me an error.

Presumably it's for free-to-play game Trove that you probably never installed.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
This was a light sale for me. I only spent $35.93 real money. The rest was trading card credit. I mainly bought Steam versions of old games I have physically (Myst 3 and 4, Spycraft, Vampire The Masquerade Redemption). I bought the second chapter of Cube Escape Paradox because I love those Rusty Lake games. I also bought Tormentum: Dark Sorrow and finished it before the sale ended. Finally, I bought Redout Enhanced Edition and all its DLC as the usual game-I'll-never-play. I won't bother listing the random 4 games I bought <$1 DLC for. I also got Unavowed as a gift from meusferus (Birdman042).

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Besides Jurassic World: Evolution and Scythe, my only other purchase was Grand Theft Auto V. It's a game I used to own on Xbox but never got very far with, so I figured it may be something fun to revisit now that I'm almost done with AC: Odyssey.

I've been imaging and setting up computers for tax season, I don't think I even know what day it is. I do know that I'm developing some serious carpal tunnel and if I'm going to do that, it's going to over a game, dammit!
