How is it that Patrick Stewart hasn't aged in 35 years?

Donald Glover could make a good Duncan Idaho. Tom Hiddleston might be good too.
I think the casting of Duncan Idaho is the most important decision. If it is to be a franchise, Duncan is the central figure. Donald Glover is an inspired choice.

I remember seeing that in the theatre at a very young age (IMDB suggest I'd have 10 or 11). Picard seemed ancient then. Older than Merlin. That was one of the very few things I walked away from the movie with. In total I think it was
Arthur trying to put sword back was funny
Merlin awesome
Picard is too old to be a knight
How did Mordred age so fast and did his gooofy child armor grow with him.
Why do helmets have beaks?
Crows picking out eye in huge field of dead bodies
Naked lady!!!!
And then I proceeded to draw armor with beaks, even though I didn't like the look of armor with beaks.
Loved the movie and came back to watch it several time on ONTV a few years later.

Hounskull
From around 1380 the visor, by this time considerably larger than earlier forms, was drawn out into a conical point like a muzzle or a beak, and was given the names "hounskull" (from the German hundsgugel – "hound's hood") or "pig faced" (in modern parlance). The protruding muzzle gave better protection to the face from blows by offering a deflecting surface and it improved ventilation (which was largely afforded the wearer, when the visor was down, through holes in the "muzzle," such holes being often on the right side of the "muzzle", with additional holes near the mouth, or on both sides).
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Yeah, that's not a huge age gap between Isaac and Chalamet, but Isaac has the gravity to play Duke Let for sure.

He could have been a good Duncan Idaho as well but I think he'll do fine as the Duke.

The great thing about this being two movies is that they won't have to leave so much out.
One of my favorite scenes in the book is the formal dinner at the palace in Arakeen. Lynch had no time for it.
It may have been in the miniseries, but a lot (not everything!) about that one was kinda unmemorable.

Kind of. I am a big Sting fan and liked him in the role. But looking at the cast, which is outstanding, his name seems out of place. It would be like having Beyonce. Maybe she'd be great, but it's a gamble.

And Jason Momoa is in talks to join the ever growing cast .
Momoa would play Duncan Idaho, a fearsome warrior who fights alongside the Attrides family.

To pay that cast the entire movie will be stop motion.

I could do without Momoa in this. I don’t hate him, but he’s not even close to the level of talent this will require given the rest of the cast.

He’s no Wahlberg but he is a strange choice for the role of Duncan Idaho.

I would love to see Mads Mikkelson as the Duke and Oscar Isaac could play Duncan.
I like Mamoa, just not in that role. Or this film.
