That, too, I suppose. Not the point of it, though. She swears it doesn't bother her as long as I don't make a big deal over it. We haven't had a discussion or fight about that particular topic in quite some time - but it could also be that everything I do around her is censored for PG-13 narrative and I simply back out of every conversation that could accidentally lead down to that particular realm.
I will admit that when sex scenes play, I hammer the volume button to quiet them. Last thing I need is her thinking I'm trying to watch porn on my 3D headset.
We did have a fight, though, just last night when she got a little tipsy and called herself a prude as a joke. I didn't answer the right way and she got angry. To her a "Prude" is "Someone who hates sex" and to me a "Prude" is "Someone who has issues with displays of human sexuality" - my definition is bound by the dictionary, hers is bound by her feeling on the word. Fight ensues.

I know others have commented they've watched the other two seasons and didn't like them, but I just caught up to S3 (came out in late November, I think) and enjoyed the hell out of it too. I think it's well written and the characters are all enjoyable (as much as one can enjoy them). I'd still recommend the series, but I'm guessing if you watched the earlier seasons and didn't like anything, this isn't going to change your mind.

Next time you see her in the living room, put on a gimp outfit and your oculus go, then lie down on the floor in front of her and mutter, “Time for Nymphomaniac parts 1 and 2! Well...1 at least.”
In other news, the third Godzilla anime movie, Godzilla: Planet Eater premieres January 9th. I’ve really enjoyed the first two. They’re a bit out there, but they’re never dull or boring.

You know, I've come to the conclusion that all you need to do to get me to watch a horror or scifi show is put a gas mask on someone in the trailer.

it's weird how it seems the kids haven't grown at all in the last 3+ years.
Really? Literally like 70% of that trailer was "they're teenagers now!" Including playing teenage wasteland right at the beginning.
I'm just saying they don't look like they have grown. Yes I know the storyline says they are in their teenage years. They still just look like little kids.

Are you my mummy?
I got a Doctor reference! I knew that would eventually pay off!

I'm a big Bill Burr fan and I wish him success. But his cartoon does nothing for me.
Agreed. I can take only so much of a verbally abusive husband/father/friend represented in the cartoon.

I hope season 3 of Stranger Things is way better than season 2. I thought 2 was pure crap. They went way overboard on the monster 2-dimension thing that made no sense. It was my number one disappointing Netflix season series last year. Season 1 was great.

wait, you used to make a big deal over it?
Knowing she was not a fan of sex in media, I foolishly asked permission to watch or play things that involved sex in media because I didn't want to offend her. She took it as me asking for permission to look at boobies.

Did you preface these requests with "Mother may I?" or something?

OK gotcha. For a second I was thinking you were saying something like "Oh my god, did you see the sweet tits on that one chick... wow those are some swee.... Honey? What's up?.... why are you mad?"
That looks nuts .Me and my wife wanted to live forever together. Would have been sweet and easy. Watching that trailer though makes me wonder if am immortal got arrested and imprisoned for life

I love me some Santa Clarita Diet. I watched episode one last night and was disappointed that no Nathan Fillion though...just the silent back of his head for one scene.
The wife and I finished the first season of "You" last night. I haven't sympathized with a psychopath so much since Dexter ended. It's not the best Netflix show, but the wife and I enjoyed it.
Did anyone here watch The OA? The first season came out quite a while ago and while I personally enjoyed it quite a bit, I found it hard to recommend to others because it was just so weird. I don't really even know how to describe it still, as it shifted so many times during the course of the series.
Now Season 2 just came out and it totally blew me away. It's still the weirdest show I think I've ever seen, and still twists and turns all over the place, but for whatever reason it seemed to me like it would be more accessible and therefore easier to recommend. But if you don't watch season 1 you'd be hopelessly lost. I had to go back and rewatch the end of S1 to figure out what the heck I was watching. So I guess my recommendation is get through S1 as best you can so you can get to S2.
The conclusion of S2 just left me begging for more, and I believe the writers have planned 5 seasons. Hoping they get to tell the entire story.

We should be starting OA season 2 tonight. We really enjoyed the first season and are looking forward to it.
I'm really interested to hear what you (and Zaxx eventually lol) think, particularly coming from someone who liked the first season.

Yeah, but once he does start talking you might recognize the voice even though it's no longer Nathan Fillion.
Spoiler:
The disembodied head of Greg is now being voiced by Alan Tudyk. If you can't get the captain, you go with the pilot I guess.

Longest cold open in history?
lol yeah in the middle of the episode I stopped and went back to watch the final episode of season 1 to make sure I was still remembering the right show. The way it's structured it probably works best if you can watch both seasons back to back.
We just started OA season 2. Sabrina Part 2 releases on Friday and I just remembered we have yet to watch season 2 of Atypical... I am also still 3 marvel series behind. Stop it Netflix!

There's only one more Marvel season coming, so you should be good.

Do you know (or can you find out) if Netflix is getting the current season of AoS?
