I didn't try and get a single achievement. I just don't really care much about them in any game. So I just played WAYYYYY too much.

Note the kills!

Amazing what an untouched care package containing an AWM near the final few circles can do.

To be fair, the shooting really didn't start until after we found the package. First two kills were with a 2x, but the corpses were kind enough to remit an 8x.
Odd event during that match: my internet hiccupped and I froze out in the open. During this time, a dude came up behind Goo and knocked him. Then I heard this flurry of bullets, and I knew our game was over. Suddenly, I un-froze, still alive. Went looking, and the guy wasn't even looking my way anymore. Did he think I was dead? In any case, he was via AWM immediately thereafter. And dumbass me didn't even realize he had left Goo KBNO until Goo politely reminded me. I really wonder if I died on his end and he just assumed Goo was gone too.

The dude that knocked me came out of the zone. Pretty sure he's the guy that Frey spotted, but after searching for a little while, I had to put my attention to other threats. We were on a hill in the middle of the current circle and there were teams on all sides of us. The circle was intermediate at that point. Probably 800m across, so somewhere around 300-400m radius. Maybe a bit bigger, not sure. Big enough that I might not hit a stationary target on the edge on my first try but small enough that I could definitely do it on the second. Being in the middle we could see everyone and everyone could see us. Then dude finally comes out of the blue and hits me in the head, which was kind of impressive since I was like a cat on a hot tin roof. So many lines of sight to me that I never stood still. Then he full autos Frey during his disconnect, and misses! So Frey re-connects and dispatches him and revives me and then the executions began.

Started in Yaz and the final circle was in the fields just a little south and west of the small group of one story yellow buildings out in the middle of the field south of Yaz. The hill right before the next set of blue buildings farther south (actually, a little to the west too) is where we made our stand. The circle eventually pushed us out into the field, but not until almost everyone was dead. Was a really solid position and the circle was very kind to us at that point. You can actually see the hill in Frey's screenshot.

The care package was one of those that seemed to be an empty box from earlier in the game, and there was some question about even bothering to check it but then we decided what the hell and bam. Game winner.

Haven't played in like a month and I load it up and I'm all confused. UMP is using 45. Vector is using 9mm. CHAOS!!! I did surprisingly well considering I haven't played in so long. Apex really upped my close combat game which is nice. And I'm wayyyyy more aggressive for better or worse.

Having a lot of fun the last few days. Not sure if I got better or people got worse, but I’ve been doing pretty well. Not winning really due to playing randos, but getting kills. My close combat has gotten way better since playing Apex.

Won three matches tonight. The best was killing this tool. My prefire has gotten REALLY good.

I like how he pretends that he had any chance. I heard him jump in and I was firing even before I rounded the corner.

Hit a dude with the molly bottle then shotgunned him in the butt launching his corpse, which the team thought was funny. Here it is.

Is it just me or did they cock something up with the teammate flags. I killed multiple people yesterday because they didn’t show the tag. It was embarrassing.

Played some more solos today. I died to the playzone in 99% of my games, the 1% of the games I died to a bridge camp.

Something tells me I need to play more aggressively.

edit: Next game threw a blind grenade 50m over a ridge and took a large chunk out of a guy, then hit a different guy with a 200m m24 shot with a holo sight (I had been desperate for a scope for almost 3km and 10+ loot sites). Killed neither then got 3rd party'd. Oh well.

I was inspired by Green and decided to run through a few solo matches today. I'm following the choco taco method of pretty much always heading to the middle and won a 3 kill match on Sanhok. :horse: I actually only have like 30 matches solo this season. I only play in small bursts now as I find it stresses me out a bit too much. :ninja:

Meant to write it earlier, not sure if I did or not. Before today I could count on 2 hands the number of solo games I've played in the last 12 months or so.

Here's one worth mentioning. I rolled 3 muscle cars and a jeep in a single game on Miramar today. I am absolutely not kidding. The 3 cars were all while reviewing the map. I even grenaded the second muscle car and flipped it over. It was on fire and when I got in and started driving, I saw it had no health. I mean I was literally unable to see it's health bar. Bumping into a tree would have made it explode. I promptly got out, found another, and immediately rolled the new one.

The jeep wasn't so bad, it was during crashing a compound and I was done with it anyway.

So 1 game, 4 vehicles upside down. Go me.

Solo is WAY more stressful than squads or duos. You know that at any second you could be killed in a single shot and game over. I'm trying my best to not take it seriously anymore and just have fun with it. Mostly successful. Today at least...

Make that two wins. It’s not the most exciting way to play but it works. Playing the edge is so much more dangerous.

Win #2... I think this was more impressive than the first. The 4x spray I hit won the game.

Oh and the best is I got reported for cheating. That's like the best compliment ever. I just owned that dude.

Congrats Oct, sounds like you're doing well.

Here's Frey and I simul-killing 2 that were 5m apart. The amusing part is that they were not teammates. How they got so close to each other is a mystery. We ended up winning that game.

Nice! Ya I had a good weekend. I had 4 wins the best being a 6 kill win. I played to long and starting falling apart in the end, but man I was on a tear for a bit.

Frey had a 9 kill game tonight in duos. I contributed 3 of my own, giving us 12 over all. Frey caught more than 1 with his M24 as the circle shrunk, but he managed multiple team wipes earlier in the game.

That game would have been over before it started if Goo hadn't pulled off a pair of shotgun kills in the drop zone. Considering I can't hit someone with that weapon even if I used it as a club....Respect.

Hmmm, I don't feel they were clutch kills, but they were both at range with an over/under and I was surprised the guys dropped. Mastery report showed significant damage which is not usually the case at that range, when only 1 or 2 pellets land most of the time. Lucky pellet spread. We also tag teamed another dude from opposite sides simultaneously which was pretty sweet and a bad time for the dude.

For whatever reason with the shotguns I found casually aiming works better for me. In other words when I try to finely aim I end up missing. When I just flick over and fire I connect more often than not. I really love the shotguns at close range. FYI I love the vector since they switched the ammo type. I was wrecking with it last week. There was one point where I just straight up owned 3 people in like 30 seconds. I'm sure I was reported for that. Especially the one where I popped out from behind a rock and hit my entire burst directly into the guy from like 50m.

I think one of the reasons you are having a lot more success is that the cheating has dropped off a ton. They are all busy ruining peoples lives in Apex.

Apex is cheaper to circumvent the bans, since it's free to play.

Yup the best thing that happened for PUBG was Apex IMHO. I was having fun with Apex until the cheating became so bad that I just flat out gave up. I haven't touched it in over a month and I was playing it a ton. I just wish there was a way to totally ban China. :tjg:

I ADS pistols now too, although I didn't for a long time. Depends on range, I guess, but anything past about 15m.
