Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Pretty light this time, I spent 42.91 on myself that wasn't card credit.
Hand of Fate 2 game + DLC (all 3)
Siralim 2
Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC (Baltic Bundle)
Project Highrise DLC (Las Vegas)
Talisman Digital Edition DLC (the 6 expansions I didn't have)
Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition DLC (Tyrants of the Moonsea)
Also got a couple of games and some DLC as gifts from some of you. Thanks!

I got nothing. Instead I did what I said I wouldn't. I joined Epic, bought Phoenix Point, and got 11 free games I may or may not play sometime in the distant future.

I didn't buy anything from Steam all year. In fact the few $$ thats left from my wife putting $20 in for me to do the 2018 Wishmaslist here on OO is still there.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I bought myself Risk of Rain 2 on Steam to use the $5 coupon.
On Epic I got Outward and Control with the $10 coupons.
I got a pile of stuff from Wishlistmas that made it largely unnecessary for me to buy anything else.

You get the coupon from your Wishmas giving? (just curious)coopasonic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:18 am I bought myself Risk of Rain 2 on Steam to use the $5 coupon.

I bought $30+ (closer to 40 I think) in games for myself which was enough w/ the daily quests I did to get the coupon (my purchases happened to be enough, I was not trying to optimize to get it, just getting things that I felt like getting this time around). Of course I did take advantage of the coupon, but I factored that into what I wanted to buy and just waited til I had the coupon to buy one of the games (had to wait another day to get 1 more daily quest to get 5,000 points).

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
On Steam I bought Witcher Enhanced Edition, Age of Mythology, Order of Battle: Red Star and Disco Elysium, then I bought 5 games I gifted.
I ended spending more on EPIC this year with Phoenix Point, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, Subnautica, Rollercoaster Tycoon Adventures, & The Outer Worlds. Those $10 coupons really were a motivation. Still have one to use.

Yeah, easily. I had a bunch of money on PayPal from board game sales that I just converted into steam gifts.Zenn7 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 10:10 amYou get the coupon from your Wishmas giving? Anyone have experience in this game? I've ignored the first couple of games in the series, but this one with contracts has some good reviews.Isgrimnur wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:47 pm Daily Deals:

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Not sure this is the right place, but everyone else is posting it here...
I only bought stuff on Steam this year (not counting Warlords 3: DLR from GOG before the big sales came around).
Warhammer 40k: Gladius - Relics of War (no DLC yet, though I'm enjoying the game so far, likely to get it someday).
Ogre (this is what I used my $5 coupon on).
Guild of Dungeoneering
Final Theory (an independent 4x lite, a little different but kinda interesting)
Lux Alliance (I have Lux Deluxe, I like simple risk like games from time to time)
Mindustry (Factorio simplified with Tower Defense mechanics, seemed interesting enough).

Hmm, both Early Access I see. I wonder how many early access games are there on Steam versus full released? I would suspect it would be a trend to go EA to get more money.Isgrimnur wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 2:19 pm Daily Deals:

Does anyone still play these? I have such a fond spot in my heart for Nobunga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms but the last few I bought were for direct from developer purchases that evaporated a long time ago. Now I look at either high pricing for older games or the DLC from hell model and I just don't bite, even if I keep looking at these games and thinking, maybe... $30 for a solid game is not a huge price to pay but I look at that sale and have no idea what's what.

Well, now would be the time to pick up a game since I have a bunch of my wishlist games on sale. One of them is We. The Revolution
Would anyone who has played this offer an opinion? As a judge of the Revolutionary Tribunal, preside over complicated cases of ordinary citizens, dangerous criminals, and enemies of the revolution in revolutionary Paris. Make judgments, plot political intrigue, and try to not lose your own head!
