Also we were playing on a pretty low difficulty level. I think once we ramp up to the harder levels the friendly fire will do a lot more damage.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
This isn't in reference to any specific thing, just sort of an awkward Blackhawk disclaimer.
I'm not a very social person most of the time. I have a hard time grasping the back-and-forth of socializing. It's an autism thing. So, when I meet new people I tend to be both formal and reserved, as it lets me fall back on hard social rules rather than more... subjective socializing. Once I get to know people and relax, though, I stop being so reserved and formal. At which point my lack of ability to read people tends to lead to me spending a lot of time with my foot in my mouth or looking like an ass. I tend to talk over people, make comments that are inappropriate, or act like a know-it-all. I lecture rather than converse, as I don't know how to converse. I don't always have an appropriate filter, as I never know what filter is appropriate. None of it is intentional, and none of it is because I don't care. It's not a lack of empathy. I'm just blind (on a genetic level) to a lot of the social cues that are obvious to others, and constantly struggle to compensate by analyzing what people are doing instead of just 'knowing' the way normal people do. It's tiring, and when I'm tired, or stressed, or if I let myself relax too much, it starts to slip and I find myself annoying people again. And I rarely know that I'm doing it until someone gets fed up and snaps at me (not undeservedly.) It's all of that, constantly, that makes being around others so stressful for me, as I'm always actively trying to not let myself relax. It's like performing in front of an audience, constantly.
Anyway, I know I get that way around you guys sometimes, and when I do, I apologize. I don't notice it at the time, and always feel terrible afterwards when I realize it.

Apparently a pretty big bug happening right now with GTA-Online.

According to Rockstar it was just resolved, but I'll likely give it a day anyway.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
So I've had some requests to post longer videos than just my usual clips, highlights, and montages so here's a couple of longer clips.
So, here's a couple of World War Z clips featuring a bit more gameplay.
The first one is a portion of our playthrough on the Jerusalem maps.
The next one is much longer and is most of the Moscow campaign.
I have several more hours of WWZ play to post but I want to do a more thorough job of editing before I post them.
These two were mostly just to get feedback from those requesting the longer videos.

WWZ has put out a big update today, along with a new episode DLC and a GOTY edition. There is an upgrade option for current owners to the GOTY as well.

Went ahead and grabbed it. I figure we got the basic game for free and we've enjoyed it so throwing $20 their way is a good thing.

I did, too. A new campaign is very appealing.

If you remember, we may all want to try reinstalling Strange Brigade. It'd give us another option in the rotation.

No problem.
I'll be there but will be a bit late as my computer is a bit taken apart at the moment.

If we are going to play Sea Of Thieves soon, I would recommend everybody play through the Maiden Voyage tutorial first. It teaches most of what you'll need to play and, if you are thorough, you can unlock a secret area that will net you 25,000 gold to start off with so you can better equip your character when we play together.

I've finished it, and done a mission or two to get a handle on things in addition (plus watched a handful of videos as the game is confusing.)Brian wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 9:23 pm If we are going to play Sea Of Thieves soon, I would recommend everybody play through the Maiden Voyage tutorial first. I'm comfortable with the basics at this point.

Make sure you check out the WWZ patch notes. They changed a lot of abilities.
Link. You have to click "World War Z – The Dronemaster Update" at the bottom of the article for the patch notes.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
Killing Floor was kind of fun. Though it was also really confusing at the beginning. I'm not sure if you can start up a private game. I also think there were usually more than the "default" 4 people in most of the games. So even if you can do a private server, you might be making things tough if you only have 4 people.
Of course, it's been a long time since I played it (last played it with GreenGoo some - to give you an idea). So everything I said may be outdated.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
Well dang it. Somehow, during our gaming session, it was set to record the 2nd monitor instead of the primary monitor.
I have no idea how that got switched and I can't find anywhere in the GeForce Experience settings to change it back to the primary monitor.
So, I've got several clips of gaming audio over a background of my GMail account.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
...and resolved.
I have no idea why this fixed the problem but I had to go into the settings for the GeForce recording app, then in to the Privacy Control tab where I had to disable the Desktop Capture setting (the only option in the Privacy Control tab), and then close and restart the GeForce Experience before reenabling the Desktop Capture setting.
Anyway, the problem is fixed so hopefully something worth recording happens on Sunday.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
I will almost certainly not be joining in tonight.
We've arrived safely in Omaha (more on that in a minute) and have unloaded and returned the U-Haul but we've barely made a dent in the sorting, arranging, and unpacking that needs to be done before I can even think about setting up our gaming systems.
Heck, I may not even be ready for Sunday. I'll keep you informed.
As to the arriving safely, after three days on the road and about 4 hours from our destination, one of the tires blew out on the auto trailer that the Monza was loaded on.
The tire immediately shredded and flew almost directly into the windshield of Jen's car as she was following behind me.
Fortunately, it barely missed her and I was able to quickly pull off to the side of the interstate.
I called U-Haul and they were able to dispatch a service/repair guy who was only about 15 minutes away and he got us back on the road ASAP.
it was a bit of a Brown Alert moment though.

Don't know if any of you are playing Sea of Thieves. I saw that it was on sale yesterday on Steam so I grabbed it. Did the intro mission and made my way to the "Sea of Thieves" ? I don't know what they call that place after you finish the Maiden Voyage. Anyway, I'm there. Am up for doing some multiplayer pirating if folks are available and we can find compatible times.

Re: Looking for group (R6:Siege + Others)
I finally got around to sorting through the huge number of videos I've recorded over the past few months. Here's what I ended up with. For some of these my Discord outputs apparently got switched, so I was only recording my own voice. I wasn't talking to myself (that much.)
Rainbow Six: Siege.
Terrorists who shoot you always like to stand right next to your feet while they wait for you to die. This is why this is a bad idea.
Bad Demo apparently has a gun made out of guns. I assume it shoots more guns.
A couple of clips from World War Z. One with OOers, one with my kids.
A series of GTA V clips:
Our last GTA V session. The mission was to steal three planes, fly them across the city, and land them on the docks so they could be exported. We had to land two of the three successfully. We hadn't played in a while, and forgot about the squadron of attack choppers that spawns. This resulted in the early death of Bad Demographic and one of the planes, and you can see what happened with the second. If I did not land this plane and taxi it to the ship, the mission was lost:
Last up, some exoneration. We often shoot each other in games, usually accidentally, sometimes not (but when it is on purpose it's generally between mission hijinks, not malicious.) Bad Demographic, though, seems to end up as my unintentional victim more than most. I had a couple of clips of this happening, and I just wanted to show that it wasn't intentional. In one (Siege), I thought she was going into a room, but she zipped back out. In the other (GTAV), I'd just been playing Assassin's Creed. In Assassin's Creed, the trigger on a controller makes you run. I got out of the car, wanted to run to the chopper, and thanks to muscle memory, pulled the trigger. A millimeter to the left or right and nothing would have happened...

We were discussing Diablo 3 earlier. It is currently on sale for $10 for the base game, or $20 with the expansion on the Blizzard store.
