President Donald Trump supporters protesting the outcome of the 2020 election have a new and surprising opponent: the Republican Party.

A viral video of protesters, as well as posts on social media platform Parler, indicate that Trump supporters are looking to boycott the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections.

Yes! You must fight for the honor of your leader and woe betide any Republican Senator in any state that certifies a win by anyone other than dear leader! :horse:

The won't really boycott the Georgia vote, but they'll probably primary anyone next time who doesn't openly support Trump's claims of election fraud today.

This also puts big pressure on Perdue and Loeffler to go all-in for Team Trump. I wonder how that will affect the race.

Luckily, 'they' are comprised of individuals. Even if most of 'they' do vote, this will still result in some lost votes. And every lost vote makes me smile.

I would like to think that if they make "Trump's legitimate claim to election Fraud" THE pinnacle voting argument, that it can only help the Dems here. I mean, just in that it only servers to divide potential GOP voters...

The Trump campaign spent $3 million in donor money to increase Biden’s lead by 132 votes.

Works out to $22,727 per vote.

Milwaukee County concludes its recount of the presidential election -- one of two counties where Trump sought a recount in Wisconsin. The results: Biden's lead, currently at about 20,000 statewide, grew by 132 votes.

And now he's just going around trying to convince the states to give him the electoral college votes. Seriously fuck everyone that supports him and this nonsense.

BI
Two Wisconsin counties are being denied the money they're owed for conducting election vote recounts, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
...
The Trump campaign already paid the $3 million recount fee, but the state's legislature's budget committee, which has a Republican majority, is withholding it. Republican legislators have not specified why.

A letter from the state's Joint Finance Committee said one of its 16 members opposed paying the two counties the $3 million they're owed. The member was not named in the letter.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

I refuse to post a 2022 thread, but the political chatter is that Ivanka is buying a residence in Florida in preparation for a senate run.

That means she's going to primary Marco Rubio.

I could be wrong here, but I think the Trump kids are going to be surprised to find they don’t have nearly the support that Trump himself does.

That actually makes a lot of sense, and will tell us a lot.

After all, Rubio represents everything the establishment GOP thought they wanted to be in 2020 back in 2015. And Ivanka represents everything the GOP actually is in 2020. It's almost impossible for an incumbent Senator to be successfully primaried, so if Ivanka pulls it off, it will signal that the Republican party is lost to QAnon for the foreseeable future.

It’s over. McConnell just now recognized Biden as President-elect in a speech on the floor of the Senate. He also congratulated Harris and recognized the historical nature of her win. A few die hards may try to stir things up but the Senate and House are not going to reject the EC vote held yesterday. Trump is done.

Whoa people need to leave the Mets out of comments now. They have been sold and the history of sucking is now over! At least that's what I keep on telling myself. That said the Mets probably have a better chance of making the Super Bowl over the Jets. I don't know how anyone can keep on rooting for that "team".

Seems like this info should go here:
The Pew Research Center just released its validated voters' report, considered a more accurate measure of the electorate than exit polls, which have the potential for significant inaccuracies.

The new Pew data shows that shifts among suburban voters, white men and independents helped Biden win in November, even while white women and Hispanics swung toward Trump from 2016 to 2020.

...

This year, however, it appears that Trump did win a majority of white women. Pew found that 53% of white women chose Trump this year, up by 6 points from 2016.
Was not expecting that.
Maybe next year, maybe no go
